El concierto “Accordion - the soulmate” estrenó en grande la ceremonia del Buick Theater en el Shanhai Grand Theatre el 9 de mayo a las 19:30. Este evento se ha sumado a tantos otros dirigidos al Día Mundial del Acordeón como parte del 33º China Shanghai Spring International Music Festival. Desarrollado a través de la apuesta personal del profesor Li Cong, vicepresidente de la CIA presidente del Comité de Acordeón de la Asociación China de Músicos, este evento resultó ser una suerte y riqueza de aroma oriental. Conjuntamente integrado por profesores, alumnos y estudiantes del Music College of Shanghai Normal University el tema principal del programa se tituló: “Interpretado con las manos, expresado con los corazones”. A través de las distintas actuaciones se mostraron las diversas escuelas y caminos emprendidos por el acordeón en China. Este concierto fue considerado como un puente de comunicación entre oriente y occidente. Un trasvase de conocimiento. Dirección artística del concierto: Li Cong, Wang Congyu, Zhang Guoping and Shi Xuan.  The Kramfors Music Awards is the Oscars of the "High Coast" region of Sweden and every second year, they present special prizes and awards for musicians, artists, composers, groups, who have put this region of Sweden on the national and international music map.Jörgen Sundeqvist received the Classical Artist of the Year Award recognizing the excellence of his performance and its contribution to the great success of Fredrik Högberg´s "The Accordion King", a multi media Concerto for Accordion and Orchestra. Jörgen Sundeqvist performed the World Premiere of the "The Accordion King", 22nd and 23rd January 2015, the review of the concert saying: "It was an unforgettable musical evening for the audience at Kramfors People's Park. Fredrik Högberg and Jorgen Sundeqvist, backed by the Nordic Chamber Orchestra, brings together in a masterly way the past with the present, and points forward to the future."  Accordion virtuoso, veteran instructor, and West Coast pioneer of the electronic accordion, Lou Jacklich, has been selected to be the Honorary Director of the 2016 Cotati Accordion Festival (CAF). Mr. Jacklich’s outstanding full-time career as an accordionist spans over 70 years…and still counting! The considerable history of Lou including an eTracks mp3 album is online at: Lou Jacklich The 26th annual Cotati Accordion Festival will be August 20-21, 2016 at La Plaza Park in Cotati, California. This year’s Festival has a “Western" theme featuring: the Doo-Wah Riders, Debra Peters and the Love Saints and the Vivants. Accordion celebrities Jelena Milojevic, Cory Pesaturo, Michael Bridge, Sourdough Slim, Steve Balich Polka Band, Those Darn Accordions, and a host of others will be performing. A wide variety of regional and musical genera (e.g., Country, French musette, Gypsy jazz, Western, Blues, Cajun, Zydeco, and Latin) are in store. Roberta Cantow will show her new documentary, “Accordion’s Rising.” Sheri Mignano Crawford is organizing the Student Stage again this year. Other surprises are also planned including another wonderful grand finale! |
