| 70 Jahre Efrem Podgaits Konzert für Domra und Orchester und Konzert Nr. 2 „Vivavoce“ für Bajan und Orchester werden von Ekaterina Mochalova und Aidar Salakhov in Begleitung des Russian Soul Orchestra der Russischen Musikakademie Gnesins aufgeführt, künstlerischer Leiter und Dirigent - Vladimir Shkurovsky. | Der Internationale Akkordeonkonzertwettbewerb wird vom 17. bis 20. September 2020 im kroatischen Musikinstitut in Zagreb stattfinden. Dieser Wettbewerb (IACC) bietet einen Konzertwettbewerb für Akkordeonisten und Bandoneonisten mit Begleitung eines klassischen Orchesters. Der Wettbewerb wurde ins Leben gerufen, um talentierte Musiker zu identifizieren und ihnen zu helfen, ihre Karriere durch ein Konzertumfeld (Soloinstrument mit Orchester) zu entwickeln, das für Akkordeonisten im Allgemeinen weniger zugänglich ist. Es bringt Akkordeonisten nach Zagreb, Kroatien, um im Wettbewerb um internationale Bekanntheit mit hervorragenden Orchestern, Debüts in berühmten Konzertsälen, Tourneen und Albumveröffentlichungen aufzutreten. Es ist eine einmalige Gelegenheit für Akkordeonisten, die nicht nur als international agierende Künstler, sondern auch als Konzertsolisten Karriere machen möchten. Musiker jeden Alters und Studienniveaus werden aufgefordert, sich zu bewerben. Die internationale Jury setzt sich aus Cesare Chiacchiaretta (Italien), Krešimir Seletkovic (Kroatien), Dominique Emorine (Paris Moscou Duo - Frankreich), Peter Soave (USA), Matej Meštrovic (Kroatien) und Marjan Krajna (Kroatien) zusammen.  Video: Martynas Levickis - Shallow (Ein Stern wird geboren) mit Igne Pikalaviciute & MikroorkéstraDer litauische Akkordeonist Martynas Levickis (Bild links) wurde beim Festival 2020 in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Norddeutschland zum „Artist in Residence“ ernannt. Er tritt einer angesehenen Liste von Künstlern bei, zu denen Nigel Kennedy, Daniel Hope, Pinchas Zukerman und Daniel Muller-Schott gehören. Martynas, der ein klassisches und zeitgenössisches Repertoire spielt, sagt: „Diese Anerkennung bedeutet mir persönlich und beruflich sehr viel. Ich fühle mich sehr inspiriert und herausgefordert, aber vor allem stolz darauf, dass mein Instrument in eine so wichtige Position gebracht wurde. Für mich als Akkordeonist ist das eine enorme Leistung, und ich möchte auf dieser Markierungslinie stehen, um das Instrument als würdig, geachtet und geliebt zu bezeichnen. | Video: Caruso Made in Italy by Marco Lo Russo a "Monitor Laziotv" Accordionist Marco Lo Russo will give two concerts in Latina Province this week. The first will be held on December 14th at 6pm at the Circolo Cittadino di Latina, Italy. This concert is held in conjunction with the “Fall Concert 2019” organised by the International Campus Foundation of Music in Latina. Marco will perform a solo accordion recital with original compositions, world music, jazz and tango. The following day, December 15th, he will perform at the Cathedral of Santa Maria Annunziata in Priverno, Italy. At this event Marco will perform with Korean soprano Min Ji Kang and together they will offer a varied repertoire of Christmas pieces, classical music and some small surprises. | Popular Welsh band “Mabon”, which includes Jamie Smith (accordion & vocals), Oliver Wilson-Dickson (fiddle & vocals), Ron Juppy (guitar & vocals), Matt Downer (electric & upright basses & vocals) and Iolo Whelan (drums, percussion & vocals) have decided to disband in 2020 after twenty years of good times. Band members say they have so many good memories of great concerts across the years and they are truly grateful for your support and enthusiasm along the way. Although it's a thoroughly amicable ending: it's time for new projects for some of the band, and new chapters for others. However, before they finish, the band has launched a final UK tour entitled “The Last Huzzah” beginning in February 2020.
