 Le 1er Festival d'Accordéon Lanzo aura lieu à Lanzo Torinese à Turin en Italie, les 28 et 29 août 2021, sous l’égide de l'Associazione MusicaeArtisti en collaboration avec la municipalité de Lanzo Torinese et la Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo.Les organisateurs prévoient que cet événement, entièrement dédié à l'accordéon, devienne un festival annuel. 2021 étant l'année de célébration du centenaire de la naissance du grand Astor Piazzolla, Massimo Signorini (photo de gauche) se produira en conjonction de la présentation du livre "La vie et la musique d'Astor Piazzolla", des auteurs Maria Susana Azzi et Simon Collier. L'événement comprendra également une vitrine pour les constructeurs d'accordéons qui opèrent dans le Piémont. Ils mettront leur expérience et expertise à la disposition des artistes de concert. Des réparateurs de l'accordéon seront aussi présents. |

 Le Concours de musique allemand 2022 se tiendra à Bonn du 7 au 19 mars 2022, organisé par le Conseil allemand de la musique.Le concours comprendra une grande variété d'instruments dont l'accordéon. Le Concours de musique allemand est un concours national pour les jeunes musiciens professionnels en Allemagne. Les musiciens qui participent doivent avoir fait (ou être en cours de faire ) une formation professionnelle musicale et avoir la nationalité allemande. Festival d'Accordéon de Kramfors - Suèdeby Jörgen Sundeqvist |

 Sundeqvist Musik et Kramfors Dragspelsklubb ont organisé un grand festival d'accordéon à Kramfors les 7 et 8 août 2021.Pendant le festival, Sundeqvist Musik a présenté une exposition d'accordéons avec Karlssons Musik. Cette exposition présenta 60 accordéons, sacs, sangles, microphones, partitions, etc. neufs et d'occasion. Plus de 500 visiteurs ont assisté à l'événement et ont apprécié une variété de musiqueà l’'accordéon sous toutes ses formes ainsi que l'exposition. De nombreux accordéonistes bien connus ont joué pendant la journée dont Jörgen Sundeqvist, Päivi Mettälä, Lars Karlsson, Leo Florin, Bröderna Lindkvist et d'autres. L'invité d’honneur fut le Président de la CIA et Président d'Accordéons Scandalli, Mirco Patarini de Castelfidardo, Italie. Mirco a fait un cadeau spécial Castelfidardo aux archives d'accordéon de Kramfors : un petit accordéon spécial en bois avec une horloge à l'intérieur du soufflet (photo ci-dessus à gauche) . Le festival s'est terminé par un concert à l'église Gudmundrå de Kramfors dimanche soir avec des performances de Mirco Patarini, Jörgen Sundeqvist, Päivi Mettälä, Lars Karlsson et Leo Florin. Enorme succès pour ce festival que les organisateurs prévoient de répéter l'année prochaine. |

Le festival comprendra une sélection variée de spectacles musicaux, d'art, de danse, stages et un programme pour les jeunes. Les organisateurs encouragent également les conférences, les artistes de rue, les artistes de cirque, les activités de bien-être, les spectacles de danse, etc. Clôture des candidatures le 27 septembre 2021. Don exceptionnel d'Alain Papineau au musée A World of Accordions - USAby Harley Jones |

| A World of Accordions Museum est fier d'annoncer la réception de la collection d'accordéons antiques d'Alain Papineau composée de 350 des plus rares et des plus beaux instruments du siècle après le premier brevet de Cyril Demian (1829). Ce don, ajouté aux 1 400 aérophones à anches libres actuellement exposés au rez-de-chaussée du musée et aux 750 en réserve au Harrington ARTS Center, affirme que l'institution Superior, Wisconsin, est la plus grande et la plus complète au monde. Environ 70 des nouvelles acquisitions sont temporairement exposées dans l'espace « Expositions spéciales » de la salle de concert, consultable sur rendez-vous. Cette acquisition aubaine spectaculaire a une histoire de plusieurs décennies. Lors d'une réunion en 1997, le conservateur du musée Helmi Strahl Harrington, Ph.D., a rencontré le passionné d'accordéon Alain Papineau (architecte de la Banque mondiale) et a vu sa collection de Washington DC. Un quart de siècle plus tard, Papineau offrit à Harrington les dons de ses recherches de toute une vie, dont la plupart des instruments ne sont pas décrits dans les références organologiques. Avec les accordéons et les accordéons, 90 boîtes de musique et de matériel de référence complémentaire complèteront grandement les bibliothèques de livres et d'enregistrements du musée. Ce n'est que la dernière contribution majeure aux ressources du musée qui comprennent également de nombreux domaines de musiciens. |

| The Louise Jallu Quartet entertained at the Crest Jazz Festival in Crest, South Eastern France on August 7th, 2021. The quartet includes Louise Jallu (bandoneon), Mathias Lévy (violin), Grégoire Letouvet (piano) and Alexandre Perrot (double bass). The event included a monumental chandelier that emerges from behind the stage in the slowness of a sensitive tango. On its branches, musicians from “Trance Express” swayed above the audience (see picture above). Both groups performed an original program, between “Heaven and Earth” which included aerial prowess and the concert. |

 Accordionist Ladislav Horák performed in duo with Petr Nouzovský (cello) at a Gala concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Argentine composer, Astor Piazzolla on August 11th. The duo performed works from their CD "Vivat Tango", which features Libertango, Oblivion, Ave Maria, S.V.P. Finale and others. The event was held at the J.K. Tyla Theater in Trebon, Czech Republic and also featured Martina Kociánová (vocals and presentations). |

  Despite the fact that preparations for the 2021 Avsenik Festival (one of the biggest events of the year in Begunje na Gorenjskem, Slovenia), were in full swing, organisers have regrettably announced that the festival is postponed until next year: August 26th to 28th, 2022.This is due to the uncertain situation of the Covid-19 pandemic.   Organisers of the 2021 International Trieste Tango Festival regret to announce that once again they must cancel their event, due to be held in Trieste, Italy next month. The 2020 festival was also cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic and now it has happened again this year.The 2022 event is planned for September next year. | Video: Alex Meixner performs Burgettstown Polka, a tune originally composed and performed by Stan Blout on his "Polka Sounds of the 70s" album on Delta International Records. It has been a popular Button Box polka amongst American Slovenian musicians, as it's included in the widely distributed "Playing the Button Box Accordion Slovenian Style Book 1 by Al Jevsevar". Alex’s version is influenced by the arrangement Steve Meisner recorded on his landmark "Jammin' Polkas" album in 1988. |

 Video: “Teapot in the Tuba” 2021 performance at the Burnaby Village Museum in Burnaby, British Columbia. “Teapot in the Tuba” will entertain at MacLean Park in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on August 14th, 2021 from 3pm. | The Daniele Falasca Septet will perform at the Abruzzo Live Festival on 16th August, 2021 at 6pm. This will be an outdoor concert at Cascata dei tre ponti (Three Bridges Waterfall) in Cagnano Amiterno, L’Aquila, Abruzzo, Italy, organised by the Comune di Cagnano Amiterno. The group includes Daniele Falasca (accordion), Arturo Valiante (piano), Gianluca Caporale (sax and clarinet), Martin Diaz (guitar), Marcello Manuli (bass), Glauco Di Sabatino (drums) and Bruno Marcozzi (percussion). Their musical program includes jazz, Latin jazz, be bop, modern tango, gypsy rhythms, samba and salsa flavors. It is recommended that attendees bring a mat or towel to sit on the lawn.  Video: Flogging Molly playing “Life Is Good”“Flogging Molly” have announced their upcoming tour of the USA with the “Violent Femmes” and special guests “Me First and The Gimme Gimmes” and “Thick”. The tour begins on September 3rd in Maryland and will finish on October 23rd in Minneapolis. “Flogging Molly” is a seven piece Celtic punk band, which includes Matt Hensley (accordion, concertina, vocals). The focus will be on “Happy, Jolly, Cheery, Zany Tunes!” such as 'The Happy One-Step', 'The Entry of the Gladiators' as well as some old favourites. The 2021, 30th annual Cotati Accordion Festival will take place on September 25th and 26th this year in La Plaza Park, Cotati, California, USA. This year's theme was to celebrate the 30th Annual milestone by riding the wave of the new "Roaring 20's". However, because of the stress and suffering so many have had to endure the last two years, organisers have decided to focus on "bringing joy back to our lives". The festival will include 2 days of music, dancing, food, beer, wine and fun from 9.30am to 8pm on 7 stages, both days. | A play entitled “Accordions” will take place on the stage of the Theater in the South-West, Moscow on October 3rd, 2021. Duration - 1 hour 40 minutes. The play features a mixture of all kinds of musical compositions, from waltz to quadrille (a dance that was fashionable in the late 18th and 19th century in Europe). A partir du 1er août 2021, tous les voyageurs - qu'ils aient été ou non dans une zone à haut risque ou une zone à virus variant - sont tenus de justifier de l'absence d'infection par le coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (vaccination, test -, preuve de récupération).
