Festival d’accordéon “Grenzenlos” (Sans frontière) et 2nd concours International Open de Trossingen (Allemagne)by Georg Hettmann |
Cette année encore, le festival d’accordéon "Grenzenlos" s’est tenu à Trossingen en même temps que le concours international Open (ouvert à tous les âges), l’IOAC. L’organisation de ce festival est menée par le Conservatoire Hohner et le concours est organisé en collaboration avec la DHV et l’EAF. Réglement et modalités : 2018IOAC.pdf C’est précisemment ce mélange d’ateliers, concerts et concours qui rend ce festival si attractif pour les passionnés d’accordéon, qu’ils soient participants ou auditeurs et spectateurs. Le concours a enregistré 63 participants. Cette année, les catégories jeunes (moins de 12 ans, moins de 15 ans) étaient spécialement bien représentées. Un des temps forts du concours est la “battle des groupes” dans laquelle des groupes qui comptent au moins un accordéon proposent de la musique dans des genres variés, incluant parfois leurs propres compositions ou arrangements. Les ateliers du festival couvrent un large spectre musical et sont pour les participants des plateformes idéales d’échange d’idées avec leur semblables et de nouvelles expériences du monde professionnel. Certains thèmes sont révélateurs : musique de chambres, battre le rythme ou pas, rhythme & groove, "Jazz you can" pour débutants, .... Les concerts du festival étaient de très grande qualité et ont offert aux spectateurs un très bon regard sur le développement actuel de l’accordéon. Célébration des 50 ans de Günther Stoll à la tête du HHC-Nufringen - Allemagneby Harley Jones |
Vidéo: Le HHC-Nufringen avec le chef d’orchestre Günther Stoll interprète "Don't Know Much" lors de la fête des 50 ans. Jochen Haußmann, Président de la Deutscher Harmonika-Verband e.V. (DHV), une des plus grandes associations Accordéon du monde a écrit le 17 mars : “ c’est un honneur très particulier que de participer à cette journée au sein du Handharmonika-Club Nufringen. Günther Stoll en est le chef d’orchestre depuis 50 ans - un anniversaire très rare pour lequel je le félicite au nom du DHV et du maire Ingolf Welte. Et merci beaucoup pour le concert remarquable”. Notre monde de l’accordéon est immensément redevable aux professeurs dévoués comme le révéré Günther Stoll qui a passé toute sa vie au service de l’accordéon. Depuis 50 ans, Günther Stoll se consacre au professorat d’accordéon, aux répétitions hebdomadaires de l’orchestre, aux nombreux concerts, à ses étudiants en concours, au jurys nationaux et internationaux, et plus encore... Je veux saluer mon bon ami Günther Stoll et tous les professeurs d’accordéon oeuvrant depuis longtemps de par le monde en donnant tant à l’accordéon à travers leur dévotion et leur professionalisme. Si vous connaissez un professeur comme Günther Stoll, n’oubliez pas de le remercier pour moi et j’espère qu’un jour aussi il/elle vivra une magnifique cérémonie d’anniversaire comme celle que nous voyons sur les photos de cet article du Handharmonika-Club Nufringen. Et son cadeau est un séjour de 5 jours avec de bonnes prestations à Dresde pour assister à l’opéra Rigoletto. |

La clôture des inscriptions ets le 14 avril pour les championnats d’accordéon du Pacifique-Sud 2018 et le festival qui se tiendont à Auckland samedi 2 et dimanche 3 juin 2018. La catégorie South Pacific Solo Championship (classique) a exactement le même règlement que la catégorie Masters de la Coupe Mondiale et la catégorie South Pacific entertainment (variété) a exactement le même règlement que la catégorie Virtuoso Entertainment de la Coupe Mondiale. Les catégories Junior (moins de 18 ans) exigent le premier tour des catégories classique et variété Junior de la Coupe Mondiale. III. Siberian Festival "Bayan and the Present", "Novosibirsk - Russiaby Hermi Kaleta |
March 23 - 29, 2018 III. Siberian Festival "Bayan and the Present", which is the all-Russian day of Bayan, accordion and harmonica, and the birthday of Professor Alexander Vitalievich dedicated to Krupin. The opening concert took place on March 23, the birthday of Prof. Krupin. Memory of his rich creativity and the development of the Faculty for "Folk Instruments" at the "Novosibirsk State Conservatory after M. I. Glinka". It worked former students of him and their students. Video 1. above: Rossini "Figaro Cavalry" Vladislav Belov (13 years old) Video 2. above: A. Musichini "Until ..." Quartet: A. Rubin (teacher), Jan Rubtsov, W. Shumilov and A. Dolmatov. Further concerts took place in the following days with international award winners from Novosibirsk: Aleksey Dolmatov (class A. Rubin), the winner duo of the Menuhin competition in Japan Artem Davtyan (Domra) and Nikolai Prokopiev (Accordion). The master class was conducted by Nikita Vlasov from Nizhny Novgorod / Moscow. The highlight was the final concert of the charismatic, exceptional accordionist Nikita Vlasov, who has already won many international awards - most recently in 2016 Coupe Mondiale Laureate and winner 2017 at the CMA Trophee Mondial. Technical mastery is a matter of course for him, the musical, subtle execution of the compositions is a true pleasure. Fortunately, a video was recorded. Enjoy! |

Virtuoso accordionist Grayson Masefield, from New Zealand, has just completed his March tour of the USA performing at the NAA Convention in NAA Texas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Eugene, Ashland, and in Spokane. The highly accomplished Grayson Masefield is one the world’s most successful competition players in recent times, winning the CIA Coupe Mondiale classical & entertainment categories, the Primus Ikaalinen International Competition (Finland), the Roland International V-Accordion Competition (Rome, Italy), and the CMA Trophee Mondial classical & entertainment categories. He went to France for seminars and tuition with Frédéric Deschamps, and to the HEMU (University of Music Lausanne), Switzerland with Stéphane Chapuis to achieve BA and MA. Each concert on the tour included transcriptions, original classical accordion works and virtuoso works. He received a standing ovation at every performance. He delivered a two hour masterclasses in Texas demonstrating accordion techniques and giving lessons to volunteers. He also taught private lessons in Spokane and gave a lecture on dealing with stage anxiety and pre-performance nerves. He has performed in many countries, including France, Spain, Germany, UK, Portugal, Slovakia, Italy, USA, Canada, Russia, Lithuania, Portugal, China, Switzerland, Austria, New Zealand, Australia, and Finland. Reedblocks - 1st International Accordion Festival in Thessaloniki - Greeceby Harley Jones |
Reedblocks - The organizers turned to the inside of the instrument in naming the first international festival in northern Greece based around the accordion. Thessaloniki has a vibrant cultural life in which the accordion, during the last several years, has played an important role - both in classical and contemporary music and in folk music. From 13th to 15th of April 2018, we invited musicians from the most different musical environments to present some of the faces of the instrument. Performers include Matti Pulkki, Iraklis Vavatsikas, Ander Tellería and Mateja Zenzerovic in three concerts, accompanied by four different workshops/seminars: The event is organised by the Reedblocks Team of Panagiotis Andreoglou, Stamatis Pasopoulos, Konstantinos Raptis who want to thank Pigini Srl Italy for their "generous support". |

The Duo NeSte – accordionist Nemanja Potparic and pianist Stevan Savic – perform in concert on Friday April 13th, 8pm, at Kosta Manojlovic, Zemun. Zemun is a municipality of the city of Belgrade, Serbia. The programme includes music by Astor Piazzolla, Franck Angelis, Gorka Hermosa, Dukic, and Nikolic. On Monday April 16th, 7.30pm, Nemanja Potparic and the guitarist Zoran Anic perform in concert at the Kosta Manojlovic, Zemun. The concerts are events in the 6th Internacionalni Festival Harmonike, a competitive festival from April 13th to 16th, organised by Milos Zivic. French composer and accordionist Franck Angelis is a special guest, holding a master class and performing in concert. Other accordionists performing at this festival include Danijela Rakic, Dr. Zoran Rakic, Gvozden Erakovic, Ramona Dimitrijevic Balac, Slobodan Stanic, Dušan Novcic, Nenad Ljubenovic, Slobodan Ðuric, Dejan Milkunic, Martin Težak, and Damir Toskic Vasiljevic. The Gala D’Accordeon is a one day event that takes place on Sunday April 15th, with lunch at 11.30am and continuous dancing from 2pm until 8pm, at Salle Saugonna, 2 rue de la Gare, Mamers. The orchestra of Cedric Saillard will play for dancing, and the event includes the accordionists Gilou, Zinzin, Angelique, Chantal Soulou, and Cedric Saillard. Mamers is a commune in the Sarthe department in the region of Pays-de-la-Loire in north-western France. |

On Monday April 16th, 7pm, The London Accordion Orchestra (MD Ian Watson) presents five world premieres in the magnificent Duke's Hall at the Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Rd, London NW1 5HT. The orchestra has been working with Academy composers to develop 5 new pieces for accordion orchestra, and will also play 2 pieces from their album ‘Flight’ - 'Rhapsody' by Stuart Hancock and 'Clowns' by Ian Watson. On Monday April 16th, 7.30pm to 11pm, the Ian Muir Scottish Dance Band are the guests at the Beith Accordion & Fiddle Club. The venue is the Beith Bowling Club, Boghead, Beith KA15 1DZ, Scotland. Admission is £7, Musicians £3 - (Members free); admission includes Buffet Supper each month. Accordionist Ian started his professional playing career aged 14 at the Gaiety Theatre, Ayr, and since then, as well as his busy schedule in Scotland, has travelled throughout Europe, USA, and the Middle East. He formed his own Scottish Dance Band in 1984 and broadcasts regularly for BBC Radio Scotland. Every year the band visits a different location for an annual Scottish Country Dancing trip. With 160+ country dancers eager to swap the good old British weather for sunnier climes, desperate to get their dancing shoes on to dance the night away. On Sunday April 15th, 8pm until 9pm, Brooklyn Accordion Club presents ‘Mostly Bach: Piano & Accordion Concert’, an evening concert featuring accordionist and pianist Ivan Filipchyk. Admission is free. Ivan Filipchyk (born 1991), is a New York-based artist and musician. He graduated from the Gnessin Academy of music in Moscow, with a Master's degree in music. He acquired his music foundation in Belarus and Russia. As a musician (accordion, piano) he takes part in various competitions and gives recitals performing (as a soloist and participant of an ensemble) on the stages of some European countries, Russia, Japan, USA and Canada. Norvic Concordia (MD Peter Ayers) are an acoustic accordion quintet who play a varied programme of light music. On Monday, April 23, at 12:30, at Ianos Cafe (Stadiou 24) Athina, will be a press conference for the 10 Years of the composer & accordion virtuoso Zoe Tiganouria and official projection of her new video clip entitled “Last Tango by Zoe”. Free Entrance. The main presenters of the event will be the journalist Eleni Chrona, the actor Yiannis Vouros, the actor Panagiota Vladi, the journalist Nikos Thrasyvoulou and the director of the video clip Manos Antoniou. At the end of the event they will be presented live by the accordion singer / songwriter Zoe Tiganouria with a little orchestra, performing compositions and songs.
