  Ab nächsten Donnerstag beginnt der 39. PIF Internationale Castelfidardo Premio Akkordeonwettbewerb 18. Bis 21. September 2014 und wird von der Stadtverwaltung Castelfidardo, Castelfidardo Pro Loco und dem künstlerischen Leiter Roberto Lucanero organisiert. Tägliche Berichte, Bilder und Videos gibt es ab 18. September auf: 2014Concorso Castelfidardo Mirco Soprani Bürgermeister gab bekannt, dass 158 Einträge (Solo, Ensemble und Orchester) eingegangen sind "mit über 350 Teilnehmer aus 26 Ländern und drei Kontinenten der Welt gemeldet wurden" Neben internationalen Gäste gibt es Nachmittags-und Abendkonzerte , 36 Mitglieder der Jury aus 15 Ländern mit Alfredo Santoloci, Direktor des Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rom als Jury-Präsident.  Lehrer und potenzielle Wettbewerber werden darauf hingewiesen, dass Anmeldungen für den 67. Coupe Mondiale noch bis zum 22. September 2014 möglich sind. Eine spannender 67. Coupe Mondiale und 132. CIA International Generalversammlung der Delegierten-Kongress in Salzburg Österreich ist mit 9 internationalen Akkordeon Kategorien von Wettbewerben bereit. Die erste Coupe Mondiale wurde im Jahr 1938 durchgeführt. CIA Präsident Raymond Bodell und Werner Weibert (Präsident der Harmonikaverband Österreichs - HVO) laden alle Gäste, Konkurrenten und Sponsoren nach Salzburg für den 2014 Coupe Mondiale vom 27. Oktober - 1. November herzlichst ein. Alle Akkordeonisten sind eingeladen, an dem CIA World Akkordeon-Orchester VIII teilzunehmen. Die Leiter sind Jacob Noordzij, Werner Weibert und Joan Cochran Sommers. Das Orchester wird von einem großen Chor für ihre Abschlussveranstaltung begleitet werden. Ein Sonderpreis Kombipass für alle Coupe Mondiale Wettbewerbe und Konzerte (28. Oktober - 1. November) kostet nur € 85 f. Erwachsene und 50 € f. Schüler und sind noch verfügbar. Alle Konzerte werden an der Weltklasse Salzburg Congress Center (Bild unten) statt. Salomon Canelo Neuer Schnelligkeitsrekort /San Miguel - Mexikoby Rob Howard |
 Der Mexikanische Akkordeonist Salomon Canelo, der sowohl Piano und Diatonisches Akkordeons spielt, hat vor kurzem behauptet, einen neuen Rekord als schnellster Akkordeon-Spieler der Welt aufgestellt zu haben. Er spielt ein diatonisches Akkordeon mit 30 Noten pro Sekunde. Er kommentierte, dass "Disziplin und Arbeit ist das Geheimnis des Erfolges." Der bisherige Rekord wurde 2008 vom ehemaligen All Ireland-Champion diatonischen Akkordeonisten Liam O'Connor gehalten, mit 'Tico Tico' am 11.67 Noten pro Sekunde, von Guinness Rekorde ratifiziert. Strumenti & Musica Festival von Spoleto ist vom 08 bis 12 Oktober in der berühmten Kulturstadt Spoleto und wird von italienischen Akkordeon Culture Association (IAC), die die 2012 Coupe Mondiale in Spoleto Gastgeber organisiert. Wettbewerbskategorien sind: Ein klassisches Akkordeon ohne Altersgrenzen. B Klassik Akkordeon bis zu 18 Jahren. C Akkordeon "Virtuoso" (Varieté), ohne Altersgrenzen. D Akkordeon "Virtuoso" (Varieté) bis zu 18 Jahren. E Internationalen Wettbewerb für Ensembles. IAC Künstlerischer Leiter ist Mirco Patarini (Bild oben links).   The Accordions Worldwide news for the week ending September 15th 2000 included a report of the steady growth in popularity of free bass amongst accordionists in China, especially at conservatories and in competitions. Since then, Chinese accordionists using free bass have increasingly made their mark in top level international competitions with many successes in concert and entertainment categories. Over 200 years ago, when it was suggested by his aides that France should consider colonization in China, Napoleon Bonaparte replied, “Let China sleep. When she awakes the world will tremble”. Perhaps the emperor foresaw the coming of the accordion! Free Bass Accordion Growing in China Contributed by Prof. Li Cong The popularity of free bass accordions is growing steadily in China. In a recent accordion Master Class (organized by the Tianjing Music Conservatory), over 40 students took part, most of whom had free bass accordions. At the August China International Accordion Festival Competition, all competitors in the Adult Class played free bass accordions, with many also in the younger age classes. Over the last few years, Professor Elsbeth Moser (Hanover College of Music, Germany) has visited China several times teaching free bass accordion and encouraging new playing ideas and music. Cao Xiao-Qing has assisted European accordionists to give successful lectures and master classes in China. The Tianjing Music Conservatory, which has built up a vast amount of teaching material and experience has over forty, free bass students. The conservatory believes that teachers will benefit from learning more about free bass techniques, so is currently organizing classes for young teachers and students. |

 Alexander Selianov (accordion) and Denis Chefanov (piano) perform in concert on Friday September 19th, 4pm, at the Salone degli Stemmi, City Hall, Castelfidardo. Alexander Selivanov was born in 1979 in Kazan; after a long training with professor Viatcheslav Semionov at the Music Academy of “Gnessins”, this extraordinary accordionist developed different musical repertoires, from the classical music arrangements to the Russian folk music and even contemporary music. He performs solo concerts and with orchestra, in Russia and in many other countries all over the world. Since 2003 he has been playing in duo “Una Sinistra” together with his partner Yulia Amerikova. In addition to his concert career, Selivanov is an accordion teacher at the music academy of “Gnessins” (Moscow), and he is also committed to the organization of professional events like international competitions, master classes and festivals. Winner of the Coupe Mondiale, Klingenthal competition, and of the International Award in Castelfidardo and of many other national and international competitions. Program: 1.W. Sergeeva Jasmine Denis Chefavon was born in the city of Tyumen (USSR) in1974. In 1992 he started his studies in the Concervatory of the state of Moscow, Tchaikovsky. After his studies, he started to teach and in 2007 he was granted the chair at the Thaikovsky Conservatory.  Sehr geehrte Kolleginnen und Freunde,herzlich lade ich Sie zu dem Konzert am kommenden Samstag, den 14.9 um 18 Uhr in Braunfels in der Schlosskapelle ein. Seit ich letztes Jahr das Masterstudium in Musik aus dem Mittelalter an der Folkwang Uni Essen absolviert habe und gesanglich aktiv mitwirke in der Frankfurter Gregorianik Scola (Leitung Johannes Sell), vereine ich nun meine beide Leidenschaften : die Neue Musik auf dem Akkordeon mit Gregoranischen Gesängen. Das Konzert untem Thema "Ego Sum" so wie Akkordeonmusik von Tiensuu,Nordholm und Kagel annährt zwei entfernte Epochen und Welten: das Sakrale aus dem Mittelalter mit Weltliche Musik der 20.Jh. Auf ihr kommen freue ich mich, herzliche Grüße. |

| 'Il Sole' featuring Steve Albini and Tatiana Semichastnaya will headline, October 12th, at the Italian Rootstock Festival in Santa Rosa, CA. It will be a great day of all things Italian! This weekend Il Sole performs, September 13th at Festa Coloniale Italiana. The festival takes place in the North Beach (Little Italy) neighborhood of San Francisco. Steve Albini performs solo at the 9th annual Festival Vendemmia on September 20th at the Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Geyserville, CA. Inspired by the vintage Italian street fairs, it will be a festive evening featuring harvest-themed experiences, live entertainment, and more. Steve also performs most Tuesdays at the A Tavola family style Italian dinner at Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Geyserville, CA. A Tavola is a casual dining experience inspired by Francis Coppola’s favorite way of enjoying a meal. This annual non-profit festival celebrates San Antonio's long held multi-cultural love of the accordion and is a free event.
