 Un grand merci à toutes les accordéonistes femmes !La célébration de la journée internationale de la femme, le 8 mars, m’a fait réfléchir à l’énorme contribution des femmes, à travers le monde, dans le développement de l’accordéon et de son histoire, que ce soit en tant qu’enseignantes, concertistes, directrices de structures associatives ou chef d’orchestre. Un certain nombre de "femmes de l’accordéon" que j’ai eu le plaisir de connaître au fil du temps me sont venues à l’esprit dont certaines malheureusement qui ne sont plus de ce mond. J’allais commencé à faire une liste, jusqu’à ce que, finalement, je renonce. Toute liste serait incomplète et il y manquerait inexorablement des super “femmes de l’accordéon”. C’est pourquoi ce grand remerciement à tant de “femmes de l’accordéon” ne fera mention de personne en particulier. Je suggère, à la place, que vous pensiez personnellement à ces femmes importantes qui vous entourent et que vous connaissez. Je pense que chaque lecteur connait une femme de l’accordéon qu’il respecte pour ses efforts, ses réussites et tout ce qu’elle a accompli. Un grand remerciement aux “femmes de l’accordéon” du monde entier. |

 Le concert 2021 de la journée russe du bayan, de l’accordéon et de l’harmonica (célébré le 3ième samedi de mars) se tiendra le 20 mars au RAM Gnesin à Moscou.Plusieurs premières mondiales seront exécutées et l’on pourra entendre Friedrich Lips (photo à droite) et des étudiants de l’académie. Le département du bayan et de l’accordéon de la Gnesins RAM a organisé cet évènement sous la houlette de Friedrich Lips. Le but de cet évènement est de faire partie d’un projet culturel à un niveau national. L’initiative a débuté en 2010 et a rencontré un vif succès dans toutes les régions de Russie, à la fois auprès des musiciens amateurs et professionnels, devenant ainsi une vraie fête nationale. Il faut noter que ces instruments ont fait partie intégrale de la vie des peuples de Russie à travers le 20ième siècle : les russes, les tatares, les bashkirs, les ukrainiens et bien d’autres. Par ailleurs, le bayan, l’harmonica et l’accordéon jouèrent un rôle important durant la seconde guerre mondiale de 1941 à 1945. Voir le poster pour plus de détails. 2021AllRussiaPoster.pdf |

 La vidéo commence à 25:00 minsAstor Piazzolla, le grand du tango argentin, est né le 11 mars il y’a 100 ans. A cette occasion eut lieu un concert organisé à la fois par le conservatoire central d’Ostrobothnie et le festival d’hiver d’accordéon de Kokkola. Reportage complet : 2021Kokkola Les musiciens sont : L’orchestre Active Accordion dirigé par Raimo Vertainen, le ballet du conservatoire de l’université, la classe d’accordéon du conservatoire, Maria Autio (voix), Teresa Myllykangas (piano), Jalo Pulkkinen (violon), Sonja Vertainen (bandonéon) et Eino Kolppanen (balalaika). La série de ballet tango d’Astor Piazzolla's comprenait 6 parties, décrivant sa vie avec ses zones d’ombre et de lumière. Les compositions les plus connues de Piazzolla's « Adiós Nonino », « Yo Soy Maria », « Chau Paris » et « Violentango » furent au programme. Le concert présenta Astor Piazzolla comme un compositeur versatile, qui écrivit de nombreux morceaux désormais considérés comme des « classiques ». |

| Roman Jbanov fera une masterclass au Château de Coudrée, à Sciez-sur-Léman en Haute-Savoie, France du 26 au 28 mars 2021. La masterclass s’adresse à des élèves de tout âge et tout niveau ! Les participants peuvent choisir d’étudier 1,2 ou 3 jours et peuvent réserver une chambre à l’hôtel Château de Coudrée. L’artiste russe et professeur Roman Jbanov s’est produit en solo ou en duo avec l’accordéoniste française Domi Emorine, le joueur de Balalaika Alexei Birioukov ou sa sœur, la pianiste, Anna Jbanova. Son enseignement est basé sur le mouvement et l’équilibre du corps, des images et représentations mentales, ainsi que l’apprentissage de nombreuses techniques (bellow shake, etc.) qui permettent au joueur d’améliorer son interprétation et la finesse de son toucher.  Applications for the 14th edition of Premio Andrea Parodi competition for World Music artists are now open. The festival is organized by the Andrea Parodi Foundation with artistic director Elena Ledda and was initiated in honour of Sardinian artist Andrea Parodi. Entrants must send 2 live recordings, which will be judged by the Artistic Commission established by the Foundation. Five to ten finalists will be selected to perform in Cagliari, Sardinia at the "Premio Andrea Parodi" Festival 2021, in front of a Technical Jury (professionals, authors, musicians, poets, writers and songwriters) and a Critical Jury (journalists). The prize for the winner includes a scholarship, concerts and performances in some of the partner music festivals in their 2022 editions, not forgetting the very same Premio Andrea Parodi 2022.  Video: Marco Lo Russo performance at the Cuba festival in 2016.Marco Lo Russo (Italy) performed at the online event XXV Music Festival A Tempo con Caturla, held in Santa Clara, Cuba from March 2nd to 7th, 2021. Lo Russo says “Since 2012, I have had the pleasure of returning to perform in Cuba numerous times and the honor of collaborating with fantastic artists. The Cuban people have shown great altruism towards others, at such a difficult time internationally, and being among the artists of this festival fills me with pride". This year's festival was dedicated to several anniversaries: 115 years since the birth of composer Alejandro García Caturla; the 35th anniversary of the Saiz Brothers Association; 100 years of the Latin Institute of Music; the 45th anniversary of the foundation of the University of the Arts of Cuba (ISA); the 95th year of the foundation of the Villa Clara Symphony Orchestra; and the celebration of the 80th year of Maestro Chucho Valdés who was the guest of honor at the event. |

 A Piazzolla Fest will be held in Khabarovsk, Russia to honor the 100th anniversary of the birth of Argentine composer and performer Astor Piazzolla.The event will include the following: • March 13th at Talkmachines: music lecture ''Dedication to Astor Piazzolla". • March 18th: meeting at Nelektoriya to prepare for the upcoming concerts of ''Tango premiere". • March 19th to 20th: “Tango Premiere” with performances by the Far Eastern Academic Symphony Orchestra, Seasons in Buenos Aires and the premiere performance in Khabarovsk of a Double concerto for cello, accordion and orchestra of Samuel Struk ''Dreams of Maya''. |

  Video: A fun recording by Spiers and Boden, completed during the lockdown for your enjoyment!The 2021 Folk Weekend Oxford will be held online again this year from 16th to 18th April, 2021. This year organisers are working with The North Wall Arts Centre, Live To Your Living Room and Oxfolk to bring you a packed and entertaining programme of over 30 hours of music. The event will include a variety of artists performing a mix of traditional Irish and English folk music, Morris dancing, workshops, sessions, ceilidhs, talks and much more.
