 Ein riesengroßes Dankeschön an all die großartigen Akkordeon-Frauen, egal wo!Die Feier des Internationalen Frauentages am 8. März hat mich an den enormen Beitrag erinnert, den Frauen auf der ganzen Welt zur Entwicklung und Geschichte des Akkordeons als Lehrerinnen, Spielerinnen, Verbandsvorstände und Dirigentinnen geleistet haben. Eine Reihe großartiger "Akkordeon-Damen", die ich über viele Jahre hinweg kennenlernen durfte, kamen mir sofort in den Sinn, und einige sind leider nicht mehr unter uns. Ich wollte schon mit der Aufzählung beginnen, als ich dachte: NEIN. Bei jeder Aufzählung würden sofort viele tolle "Akkordeon-Damen" fehlen und deshalb wird dieses DANKESCHÖN an so viele "Akkordeon-Damen" nicht einen Namen nennen. Bitte denken Sie stattdessen an diese wichtigen Damen, die Sie persönlich kennen oder von denen Sie wissen. Ich glaube, jeder Leser kennt Akkordeon-Damen, die er für ihren Einsatz und ihre Leistungen in der Musik und für alles, was sie getan haben, sehr schätzt. Ein tiefes Dankeschön an alle unsere "Akkordeon-Damen" auf der ganzen Welt. |

 Friedrich LipsDas Konzert zum Allrussischen Tag des Bajans, Akkordeons und der Mundharmonika 2021 (gefeiert am dritten Samstag im März) findet am 20. März im RAM Gnesin in Moskau statt.Im Konzertprogramm werden mehrere Uraufführungen sowie Auftritte von Friedrich Lips (Bild rechts) und Studenten der Akademie zu hören sein. Die Abteilung für Bajan und Akkordeon des Gnesins RAM hat die Veranstaltung mit dem Projektleiter Friedrich Lips ins Leben gerufen. Das Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, Teil eines nationalen Kulturprojekts zu werden. Die Initiative begann 2010 und stieß in allen Regionen Russlands auf große Begeisterung, sowohl bei Amateuren als auch bei professionellen Musikern, und führte zu einer wahrhaft nationalen Feier. Es ist erwähnenswert, dass diese Instrumente das ganze zwanzigste Jahrhundert hindurch ein integraler Bestandteil des Lebens der Völker Russlands waren: Russen, Tataren, Baschkiren, Ukrainer und viele andere, und dass das Bajan, die Mundharmonika und das Akkordeon eine wichtige Rolle während des Zweiten Weltkriegs von 1941-1945 spielten.  Video: 25:00 Min.Die Geburt der argentinischen Tangogröße Astor Piazzolla war am 11. März vor 100 Jahren. Zu Ehren dieses Ereignisses fand ein gemeinsames Konzert des Central Ostrobothnia Conservatory und des Kokkola Winter Accordion Festival statt. Vollständiger Bericht: 2021Kokkola Die Künstler sind: Das Aktive Akkordeonorchester unter der Leitung von Raimo Vertainen, die Ballettschule des Konservatoriums, die Akkordeonklasse des Konservatoriums. Maria Autio (Gesang), Teresa Myllykangas (Klavier), Jalo Pulkkinen (Violine), Sonja Vertainen (Bandoneon) und Eino Kolppanen (Balalaika). Astor Piazzollas Ballett-Tango-Serie besteht aus sechs Teilen, die das Stadtleben mit seinen Lichtern und Schatten darstellen. Zu hören sind Piazzollas bekannteste Komposition Adiós Nonino, Yo Soy Maria, Chau Paris und Violentango. Das Konzert präsentiert Astor Piazzolla als vielseitigen Komponisten, dessen Schaffen zahlreiche Werke umfasst, die als Klassiker gelten. |

Die Veranstaltung beginnt mit einem Online-Zoom-Meeting mit den Künstlern, das um 15.15 Uhr ET beginnt. Das Duo wird osteuropäische und lateinamerikanische Musik spielen, neben anderen klassischen Perlen. Das Konzert wird von der Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron, Ohio, USA, gesponsert. |

| Roman Jbanov wird vom 26. bis 28. März 2021 einen Meisterkurs im Château de Coudrée in Sciez-sur-Léman, Haute-Savoie, Frankreich abhalten. Der Meisterkurs ist für alle Niveaus und Altersgruppen geeignet! Die Teilnehmer können wählen, ob sie 1, 2 oder 3 Tage studieren wollen und können ein Zimmer im Château de Coudrée Hotel reservieren. Der russische Künstler und Lehrer Roman Jbanov tritt solo und im Duo mit der französischen Akkordeonistin und Ehefrau Domi Emorine, im Duo mit dem Balalaika-Spieler Alexei Birioukov sowie mit seiner Schwester, der Pianistin Anna Jbanova, auf. Er achtet besonders in seinem Unterricht auf Körperbewegung und Gleichgewicht, mentale Bilder und Darstellungen sowie die Beherrschung vieler Techniken (Balalaika-Schütteln usw.), die es dem Spieler ermöglichen, seine Interpretationsfähigkeit und die Feinheit seines Anschlags zu verbessern.  Applications for the 14th edition of Premio Andrea Parodi competition for World Music artists are now open. The festival is organized by the Andrea Parodi Foundation with artistic director Elena Ledda and was initiated in honour of Sardinian artist Andrea Parodi. Entrants must send 2 live recordings, which will be judged by the Artistic Commission established by the Foundation. Five to ten finalists will be selected to perform in Cagliari, Sardinia at the "Premio Andrea Parodi" Festival 2021, in front of a Technical Jury (professionals, authors, musicians, poets, writers and songwriters) and a Critical Jury (journalists). The prize for the winner includes a scholarship, concerts and performances in some of the partner music festivals in their 2022 editions, not forgetting the very same Premio Andrea Parodi 2022.  Video: Marco Lo Russo performance at the Cuba festival in 2016.Marco Lo Russo (Italy) performed at the online event XXV Music Festival A Tempo con Caturla, held in Santa Clara, Cuba from March 2nd to 7th, 2021. Lo Russo says “Since 2012, I have had the pleasure of returning to perform in Cuba numerous times and the honor of collaborating with fantastic artists. The Cuban people have shown great altruism towards others, at such a difficult time internationally, and being among the artists of this festival fills me with pride". This year's festival was dedicated to several anniversaries: 115 years since the birth of composer Alejandro García Caturla; the 35th anniversary of the Saiz Brothers Association; 100 years of the Latin Institute of Music; the 45th anniversary of the foundation of the University of the Arts of Cuba (ISA); the 95th year of the foundation of the Villa Clara Symphony Orchestra; and the celebration of the 80th year of Maestro Chucho Valdés who was the guest of honor at the event. |

 A Piazzolla Fest will be held in Khabarovsk, Russia to honor the 100th anniversary of the birth of Argentine composer and performer Astor Piazzolla.The event will include the following: • March 13th at Talkmachines: music lecture ''Dedication to Astor Piazzolla". • March 18th: meeting at Nelektoriya to prepare for the upcoming concerts of ''Tango premiere". • March 19th to 20th: “Tango Premiere” with performances by the Far Eastern Academic Symphony Orchestra, Seasons in Buenos Aires and the premiere performance in Khabarovsk of a Double concerto for cello, accordion and orchestra of Samuel Struk ''Dreams of Maya''. |

This year organisers are working with The North Wall Arts Centre, Live To Your Living Room and Oxfolk to bring you a packed and entertaining programme of over 30 hours of music. The event will include a variety of artists performing a mix of traditional Irish and English folk music, Morris dancing, workshops, sessions, ceilidhs, talks and much more.
