Roland Europe Announces 10,000 V-Accordions Sold! – Italy

Roland V-AccordionIn 2004, Roland launched the V-Accordion: a digital accordion produced in Italy that could sound like any number of classic traditional accordions. Since then, the V-Accordion family has grown into 16 models, from the powerful FR-7 to the portable FR-1, with each model available in button or key configurations and with free bass.

As the product range has grown, so has the audience, and by the end of 2009 over 10,000 Roland V-Accordions have been sold.

The milestone of 10,000 sales of the Roland V-Accordion models show accordion players around the world have embraced the flexibility and versatile nature of the product. Additionally the V-Accordion has also found success outside the accordion industry by attracting young people. This is due to international stars of pop, rock, Latin and jazz using the V-Accordion in their work and also thanks to Roland advertising reaching out to a wider general public promoting the merits of the accordion.

To celebrate this remarkable achievement of over 10,000 V-Accordions sold, the product names of all new Roland V-Accordions will end in ‘X’, the Roman numeral for 10. Congratulations to Roland on their great success.

Master Class with duo Paris – Moscow, Rennes – France

Roman Jbanov and Domi Emorine
Over the weekend of February 21st and 22nd, the association Atoût Vent in partnership with EMCR held its first master class with two prestigious international accordionists: Domi Emorine and Roman Jbanov in Saint Hélier, Rennes.

For 15 students, after a first short musical interview, the 2 day master class began in the multi-activity center, with each student set different targets (for exams or for competition preparations). The 2 days were too short, but certainly filled with pleasure, work, good humor, and with great results and remarkable progress amongst all students.

On Sunday, the weekend finished with a students’ concert followed by a performance by Domi and Roman. Combining simplicity, humor and virtuosity, the duo took the audience through an entire accordion world travel from variety to classical, swinging through Paris and Russian folklore - a beautiful concert evening surrounded by a lot of friendship.

The next courses are ‘Jazz’, April 17th and 18th, with Jacques Julienne and advanced level by Camille and Nicolas Privat Lebret, and a summer master class in Kermenguy to Lézardrieux, with Camille Privat, Delphine Doublot Angelique Goardou, Nicolas Lebret, Damien Petiteau and Alexandre Monnier, from 22nd to 29th August.
