 Mit tiefer Trauer gibt AWW bekannt, dass Mario Moreschi nach einer kurzen und schwerfen Krankheit im Alter von 65 Jahren gestern plòtzlich verstorben ist.Mario war ein Gründungsmitglied des Pasco Unternehmens und Enkel von Giuseppe Moreschi. Die Moreschi Akkordeons feierten im letzten Jahr ihr hundertjähriges Bestehen. Mario Moreschi hinterlässt eine Frau Daniela, Tochter Martina und Sohn Michele. Unsere Gedanken sind in diesem schweren Moment bei seiner Familie. Begràbnis ist am Samstag Vormittag 13/8/2011 in Castelfidardo |

| Der Deschamps Channel ist eine spannende Form von Reality-TV-und Musikpädagogik, wo man Akkordeon Meisterklassen mit Frédéric Deschamps direkt mitverfolgen kann, wie sie ablaufen, oder die Video-Bibliothek von vergangenen Meisterklassen konsultieren, die online verfügbar sind. Der Zeitplan für die Live-Meisterkurse werden auf der Website von Frédéric Deschamps bekannt gegeben. Es gibt zum Beispiel nächste Woche von 15-19.August von 18.30-22.30 h mitteleuropäischer Zeit Meisterklassen mit: Christel Sautaux (Schweiz), Evin Kelly (Irland), Jose Dias und Natanael Teixeira (Portugal), Alexander Kolovski (Mazedonien) Matthias Matzke (Deutschland), Grayson Masefield (Neuseeland) sowie Kurse über Skype mit verschiedenen internationalen Künstlern. Die Kurse werden in Englisch, Französisch und Italienisch unterrichtet. Die Zuschauer können auch Fragen über die Seite und Skype und Frédéric Deschamps wird direkt antworten per Video teilnehmen. Sie sind eingeladen, die musikalischen Nuancen der Künstler aus vielen Teilen der Welt zu verfolgen und zu genießen.  Bei herrlichem Wetter und Schulferien liesen es sich die Mitglieder des Schlüchttal-Akkordeon-Orchester Gurtweil nicht nehmen, die Hochzeitsmesse von Angelika und Christian zu gestalten. In der herrlichen Kirche von Weilheim wurde es richtig eng, denn neben dem Schlüchttal-Akkordeon-Orchester Gurtweil hatte sich auch der Musikverein des Bräutigams in der Kirche aufgestellt. Abwechselnd wurden das Hochzeitspaar und ihre Gäste beschallt und durch die fetizig ausgesuchten Titel, wie Choral und Rock out, oder Flashdance zum mitwippen der Füsse animiert. Mit tosendem Applaus wurden die Leistungen der Orchester honoriert. Vor der Türe warteten schon die Musikschüler von Angelika. Ihre Akkordeongruppe hatte heimlich ein Liedchen für sie einstudiert. Anschliessend gab es rote Rosen beim Spalierstehen für die Braut und einen Umtrunk für das Schlüchttal-Akkordeon-Orchester Gurtweil. Information: vorstand@sao-gurtweil.de |

 Bilder oben: Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi und Luca Lucini, Orquestra e Coral de Alcoba von Anibal Freire in der schönen Kloster von Alcobaça, Weltkulturerbe und eines der sieben Wunder von Portugal durchgeführt.Die XV Internationalen Akkordeon Woche inklusive dem XVI Nationalen Akkordeon Trofeo mit vielen Konzerten und Veranstaltungen war auch in diesem Jahr wieder ein großer Erfolg! Am 2011 Event haben circa 40 jungen Akkordeonisten vom Norden bis Süden mit einem sehr hohem Bildungsgrad und Enthusiasmus teilgenommen. Wie üblich gab es auch eine Master-Klasse, die diesmal von Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi geleitet wurde, sowie erstklassige Konzerte. Ein Höhepunkt war das Abschlusskonzert mit João Barradas (Bild rechts) und dem Tango Duo (Pietrodarchi / Luccini). Der Akkordeon Verband und das Orchester von Alcobaça haben wieder einmal ein hochwertiges internationales Ereignis für Akkordeon in Portugal präsentiert |

 Während des 5. Akkordeon Art Festivals Pineto gab es einige wirklich spezielle Konzerte mit Igor Zavadsky (Ukraine) und dem großen russischen MaestgroFriedrichLips (Russland). In der internationalenJury anerkannter Künstler wie Zorica Karakutovska, Frederic Deschamps, Herbert Scheibenreif sowie bekannte Lehrer aus Italien.Der Orpheus-Preis (Kritiker-Preis für die beste Produktion des Jahres) gingen an: Caesare Chiacchiaretta El Alma de Piazzolla (Quartet Suarez Paz) für das klassischen Akkordeon an Daniele Di Bonaventura Sine Nomine (Harmonia Mundi) für Akkordeon und Jazz BUBE SAPRAVIE B. Petrus Spaghetti Sauce (Most Records) für Weltmusik erhielt den Orpheusfür die arriere FRIEDRICH LIPS. Die italienische Auswahl für die Teilnahme beim nächsten Trophée Mondial CMA (Pineto von 13. bis 18. September) und dem CIA Coupe Mondiale (China 1 bis 6. Oktober) wurden acht Kandidaten für die klassischen und Varietee- Kategorien ausgewählt : Simone Sciammarella, Francesco Bracci, Domenico D'Annunzio, Lorenzo Bosica, Andrea Di Giacomo, Matteo Petronio, Giorgio Albanese, Antonio Simeone. Im Nationalen Finale des Roland V-Akkordeons triumphierte Peter Adragna in der Senior und Andrea Di Giacomo in. der Junioren Kategorie. Die künstlerische Leitung hatte der Jazz-Musiker Renzo Ruggieri, Präsident - Salvatore und Claudio Azzaro Sekretär des Wettbewerbes. Die nächste Edition findet in der ersten Juni-Woche 2012 statt. | Dr. Robert Young McMahan (accordion) and Dr. Paul Cohen (soprano saxophone) presented the World Premiere of Dr. McMahan's composition, "Romp II" at the Tenri Cultural Center. The premiere was held during the 17th Annual 2011 AAA Master Class and Workshop Series organized and hosted by AAA Board member, Dr. William Schimmel. The composition was very enthusiastically received by the audience. During the performance, the audience enjoyed the interwoven melodies of saxophone and accordion and a contemporary sound that was exciting yet lyrical at times. |

| For the last 9 years, the Music Association of Dores has organized summer accordion training courses with teachers Domi Emorine and Roman Jbanov. The first week of August included players from 5 countries: France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Russia, and Kazakhstan. Due to the large numbers attending, Domi and Roman brought in an assistant, Félicien Brut, so that each of the trainees benefited from one period a day with the different teachers. The training course was opened up to every level and to all ages, and different music styles were approached: variety, classic, musette, and jazz. The training course was held in the premises of the Casino Municipal of La Bourboule. The second day, Domi and Roman, as the Paris Moscou Duo, presented their new album, featuring music by Franck Angelis, in a concert open to the public. This concert was like a musical trip from Russia to France, by imagining the ‘Troika in the Winter’ of Shalaiev, and by singing Russian and French popular airs. The end of the training course was followed by a video of the first and last day when students saw their progress made during the training course, after which the trainees gave a concert in the room of the city hall of the Mont Dore. Everybody left satisfied with their musical week with the intention to return in further training courses.  ‘A Jimmy Shand Dance Party’, an LP recorded in 1955 by Jimmy Shand and his Scottish Dance Band, has been released on CD. In the 1950s the legendary button accordionist Jimmy Shand was at the height of his popularity, and his recordings and broadcasts personified Scottish dance music for people in many countries around the world. A most prolific recording artiste, Shand’s LPs, EPs and single releases were eagerly sought, and his music was always cleanly played and made cheerful listening.  Along with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra is the only other fully professional Symphony Orchestra in New Zealand. During the past week, they have been performing music to the 1921 classic silent movie ‘The 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse’, about the life of a Tango instructor (played by Rudolf Valentino).Under the baton of Sir William Southgate, the orchestra performs through the entire movie. Throughout, their timing has to be exact, to combine with the movie, which certainly kept the conductor and orchestra on their toes! A standout feature was accordionist Tatiana Lanchtchikova. As well as being a vital part of the orchestra, on many occasions she performed solo, which was extremely well received by the sellout audiences, which averaged over 1,500 a night. |

 On September 24th the Serbian Duo of Petar Maric and Aleksandar Nikolic will perform a concert as part of the 36th Castelfidardo Premio Concorso & Festival Internazionale Fisarmonica in Italy.Peter Maric (accordion), winner of Coupe Mondiale and Trophée Mondial classical and entertainment categories and Aleksandar Nikolic (bandoneon) Astor Piazzolla Music Award winner and leader of the highly regarded Beltango Quintet will perform a program titled "Buttons and Bellows, Finally Together" in reference to "After 15 years of collaboration, they finally meet each other on the concert stage" ..... The program will include compositions by Franck Angelis, Zolotariev, Voytenko, Vlasov, Galliano, Piazzolla and by Aleksandar Nikolic. |

 Well known Manfred Leuchter has gathered a range of musicians around him (with whom he has worked with in recent years) to form an "All-Star" band for a big open-air concert on 20th August in Burg Wilhelmstein in Würselen (near Aachen) in Germany.This concert is designed to compliment the performance of Manfred Leuchter with other musicians including specially flown-in guests: guitarist Ian Melrose from Scotland, NY-based Syrian clarinet virtuoso Kinan Azmeh, vocalist Dima Orsho from Damascus, the Iranischen percussion-magician Afra Mussawisade and of course the stellar Leuchter band of Antoine Pütz (bass), Steffen Thormählen (drums), Christoph Titz (trombone) und Sebastian Pottmeier (saxophone).  Accordionist Mario Tacca and vocalist Mary Mancini are performing once again at Peekskill's Italian Festa, New York, on Friday August 12th at 6.30pm and Sunday August 14th at 2.30pm. Each set will be an hour-long performance.
