  Le président de la CIA Raymond Bodell écrit : “J'ai le plaisir de souhaiter la bienvenue à des candidats venus des quatre coins du monde pour participer à la 70éme Coupe Mondiale qui se tiendra à Osimo, Italie, du 5 au 10 septembre”.Il y a exactement 100 concurrents inscrits, de 27 nations différentes du monde entier pour les septs catégories de concours, dont 20 inscriptions dans chacune des catégories soliste classique, il y a donc lieu d'attendre des performances. Le Président Raymond Bodell ajoute : “ Pendant la Coupe Mondiale 2017, il y aura des concerts attractifs et rares, le "World Accordion Orchestra IX" et les délégués de la CIA tiendront leur 138ème assemblée générale au cours de laquelle nombre de questions internationales seront discutées dont l'élection du nouveau président de la CIA. Qui ne pourra assister à la Coupe Mondiale 2017 pourra voir des reportages quotidiens exhaustifs, des photos et vidéos de chaque concurrent dont les concerts des premiers prix le samedi 10 septembre , tout ceci à Coupe Mondiale.  Cory Pesaturo a établi un nouveau record à 33 heures et 14 minutes d'accordéon solo le week end dernier à Graz, Autriche, sponsorisé par Red Bull et Scandalli . Un reportage avec photos et vidéos est en ligne à : CoryWR L'autre Guiness Record concernant l'accordéon a eu lieu le 24 juillet, lorsqu'à Shenzen, Chine, 2260 accordéonistes exactement formèrent un énorme ensemble dirigé par deux chefs, le Professeur Li Cong (Président de la China Accordion Assoc.) et Tong Jianhua (Président, de la Shenzhen Accordion Assoc.) établissant un nouveau Guiness Record pour les ensembles d'accordéon. | Le 42ème festival et concours international d'accordéon “Ville de Castelfidardo” du 10 au 17 septembre a publié son planning de concours et concerts pour les 13 au 17 septembre. 2017Concorso Le Prix et concours international d'accordéon 2017 de Castelfidardo est organisé par la municipalité de Castelfidardo, l'association Pro Loco et il est dirigé par Ruben Cittadini le directeur artistique étant Christian Riganelli. Se produiront de nombreux accordéonistes de renom en solistes ou avec leur groupe, parmi eux (par ordre de passage) : Danilo Di Paolonicola, Alessandro Gaudio, Marc Berthoumieux, Massimiliano Pitocco, Dario Flammini, Antonio De Luca, Damiano Ragnini.  Le All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil 2017, organisé par Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (CCE), se tient dans la ville d'Ennis, Comté de Clare, ouest de la république d'Irlande, du 13 au 21 août.Le Fleadh Cheoil est un énorme festival-concours de musique irlandaise, chant et danse, avec environ 10 000 concurrents et artistes, avec des catégories engageant un grand nombre d'accordéonistes, les joueurs de mélodéon, concertina et harmonica ainsi que de nombreux ceili bands, orchestres d'accordéons et de parades. A côté des concours, le Fleadh Cheoil propose des concerts, des bals, des conférences, ateliers, sessions et classes d'enseignement pour tous âges et niveaux en accordéon piano, diatonique, anglo- concertina, et tous autres instruments utilisés dans la musique traditionnelle irlandaise. Jusqu'à 400 000 visiteurs sont attendus durant cet évènement sur neuf jours.  Le samedi 5 août 2017, Ksenija Sidorova a fait ses débuts au “ Mostly Mozart” (Mozart surtout) du Lincoln Center’s Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse.Le Mostly Mozart Festival est un festival de musique classique sur plusieurs semaines qui se tient a New York chaque été. Le concert de Miss Sidorova été présenté comme le premier récital d'accordéon solo dans l'histoire de ce festival vieux de 51 ans. Son programme se composait de la manière suivante : · Scherzo-Toccata (Londonov) · Variations sur “Ah vous dirai-je, maman,” K. 265 (Mozart) · Autumnal Sceneries (Kusyakov) · Barcarolle, Op. 10, No. 3 (Rachmaninoff) · Revelation (Voitenko) · Tanti Anni Prima (Piazzolla) · Sentido Unico (Piazzolla) · S.V.P. (Piazzolla) La plupart des arrangements étaient de Ksenija Sidorova. Le public de la salle comble fut charmé par le talent, les qualités techniques et le charisme de Miss Sidorova. Elle démontrait magistralement les possibilités de l'accordéon comme instrument soliste en musique classique devant un parterre rempli de façon prédominnate d'amoureux de la musique classique ayant une connaissance minime de l'accordéon. Parmi les prochaines prestations de Ksenija en festivals, le Jurmala Festival en Lithuanie, le Rheingau Musikfestival en Allemagne , le Baltic Sea Festival en Suède, and le MITO Festival en Italie.  ‘Midsummer May Monday’ is the title of a new CD by Irish-based accordionist Karen Tweed and pianist Timo Alakotila (Finland), featuring compositions by both musicians and music from Ireland and Finland.Karen Tweed won five All Ireland titles on the piano accordion and melodica in the 1970s and 80s, and has since featured on a large number of recordings. Download full size picture: 2017Malta.jpgThe Santa Maria Accordion Band was invited by the Fisorchestra Armonia of Treviso, Italy to perform thee concerts on the occasion of the 25 years of the Rassegna Internazionale di Fisorchestra. Santa Maria Accordion Band is also celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The band was given an official welcome by the Mayor of Treviso at Palazzo Rinaldi. The concerts took place at Villa Napoleon, at the prestigious Teatro Comunale 'Mario del Monaco' and at Marcon. It was a beautiful and unique experience for both bands in sharing our musical talents and friendship. Marthese Busuttil Cassar, performed in the first part of the concert while the Fisorchestra Armonia, under the direction of Mirko Satto, performed the second part.  The Trifilio Tango Trio dazzled an audience of 120 at the July meeting of the Washington Metropolitan Accordion Society (WMAS). The Trio, consisting of Devree Lewis (cello) and Argentinians Emmanuel Trifilio (bandoneon), and Cristian Perez (Guitar) performed some of Emmanuel Trifilio’s original compositions, such as Milongacha, Una Noche en la Habana and La Holy Milonga, as well as “old standards”, such as Libertango. The Washington based Trifilio Tango Trio got several standing ovations and sold out of the CDs that they brought with them, something that rarely happens.  On Saturday August 12th, 9.30am, the trio World Café performs Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’ at Klein Karoo Klassique, Oudtshoorn, Western Cape, South Africa. This performance is special as the musicians have adapted the piece for 3 instruments only. The sound and mood quality of these 3 instruments alongside each other, together with the reading of Vivaldi’s poems – describing the intent behind his music – creates an amazing ambiance and captures audience members’ imaginations quite magically.The members of World Café are Stanislav Angelov – accordion, Petrus de Beer – violin, and Schalk Joubert - double bass. Stanislav Angelov studied the accordion in his native Bulgaria, and received a degree in accordion in 1991, after which he taught at the ‘Constantine Preslavsky’ University, Shumen.  Italian accordionist and composer Marco Lo Russo perform his composition ‘Ave Maria’ during the event ‘The Sacred Night of Krakow’, on August 15th, 7.30pm, for Pope Francis, at the Diocesan Shrine of St. John of God, Church of the Fatebenefratelli (Bonifratrzy) ul. Krakowska 48, Krakow. Krakow is the city of which Karol Wojtyla, Pope John Paul II, was Archbishop and for centuries called "Altera Roma". For this performance Marco Lo Russo will be accompanied by Sicilian pianist Giulio Vinci and soprano Martina Mannozzi in a concert titled ‘Sacra Armonia’. Their programme will also include classical music by JS Bach, Caccini, Marcello, Vivaldi, Rossini, Satie, Pergolesi, and compositions by the contemporary composers Nicola Piovani (with whom Marco Lo Russo has a long professional collaboration), Ennio Morricone, and Luis Bacalov. |

 Lydie Auvray performs in concert twice next week, as follows:Friday August 18th, 8pm – solo, Theresien-Dom, Austria Saturday August 19th, 8pm – solo, Nordstrand, northern Germany Lydie Auvray, from Normandy, is a French accordionist, composer and singer. She lives in Cologne, Germany, and has performed with many musicians and has recorded at least 20 albums. In 2003 she published her autobiography, ‘Jubiläum’.  On Saturday August 19th, 8pm, the Craven Accordion Orchestra (MD Harry Hinchcliffe) and the Orchester Musika Akkordia from Berlin, Germany, perform in concert at Skipton Town Hall, West Yorkshire. The Orchester Musika Akkordia are on a UK tour. Both orchestras will entertain with a varied programme, to suit all tastes. Tickets £7/concessions £5.The Craven Accordion Orchestra was formed in 1995 by local accordion teacher Harry Hinchcliffe. Through the years the CAO has performed in regional and national NAO festivals, radio broadcasts, concerts, and as support artists to many visiting international accordionists. There will be dancing to accordionists Nono Maillet, Andre Loppe (Belgium), Damien Poyard, Nicolas Violet, Erika (Belgium), and others.Vouleme is situated in the Vienne, Poitou-Charentes region (part of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region), in the west of France at 54 km from Poitiers, the department capital.  This year’s Cotati Accordion Festival takes place on August 19th and 20th, 9.30am until 8pm each day, in La Plaza Park, Cotati, California.  GaryvDahl has achieved a milestone of over 200 individual arrangements online as well as 10 eBooks.Gary began this mammoth arranging journey when he realised from his students and fellow accordionists, that there was a strong demand for arrangements of different styles and genre. Gary was one of the early pioneers, in 2002, of marketing accordion arrangements using the internet, and from that time, Gary has been steadily publishing new arrangements that have proved to be very popular with accordionists in all parts of the world.
