Harmonika Meister- und Weltmeisterschaft/Inzell - Deutschland/Österreichby Holda Paoletti-Kampl |

  Die nationale und internationale Harmonika Meister/Weltmeisterschaften wurden in der neu erbauten MAX AICHER ARENA in Inzell/Deutschland vom 2-5. Juni 2011 durchgeführt. Organisiert wurden diese vom Team des HVÖ unter der Leitung von Werner Weibert.Insgesamt haben 176 Teilnehmer mitgemacht. 24 Teilnehmer in 3 Kategorien (Junioren 14-20 Jahre, Weltmeisterklasse 21-31 Jahre, Senioren ab 32) aus Österreich, Slowenien, Italien, Deutschland. Beim österreichischen Wettbewerb waren es 118 Kandidaten und beim bayerischen Wettbewerb 34. Während der Abendvorstellungen gab es absolute Highlights und standing ovations für das weltbekannte HERBERT-PIXNER-TRIO, sowie für die Unterhaltung der lokalen Künstler von klein bis gross mit Tanzeinlagen und künstlerischer Teilnahme des Bürgermeisters Martin Hobmaier und Vizebürgermeisters Hans Egger. Die 4 ehemaligen Weltmeister (Foto oben von links Robert Goter, Michael Rettig, Herman Huber und Denis Novato) rissen das begeisterte Publikum zu rauschendem Beifall hin. Die Aussteller HDS Music, Beltuna, Stoaberger, Haglmo und Puschtra Harmonikas offerierten ihre neuesten Modelle. Zur Abendgala mit Siegerehrung wurde der Künstler Kogler Rene für die nächsten 2 Jahre zum Harmonika Weltmeister gekürt. Während des Abschlusskonzertes wurde Mag. Johann Murg für seine lange Tätigkeit als Fachvorstand für die Steirische Harmonika, vom HVÖ geehrt. Er übergab sein Amt mit Anfang 2011 an BA Gottfried Hubmann. Der nächste Event ist für 2013 in Mayrhofen/Zillertal vom 30.Mai bis 2. Juni geplant.  Der 40. Wettbewerbs-Jahrestag war ein Wochenende voll mit guter Musik.Die South Pacific Daily Reports einschließlich der Ergebnisse und Fotos sind online. Ein Höhepunkt war ein großartiges Konzert mit Unterhaltungsmusik von 5 ehemaligen World Akkordeon Champions darunter auch Grayson Masefield (Bild links) der am Samstagnachmittag auftrat. Höchstes Niveau der Konkurrenten ergaben ein äußerst knappes Ergebnis und sie platzierten sich: Campbell Thwaites (Bild links, Mitte): 1, 2010 Champion Edward Giffney (Bild links unten):2 und Bor-Kuan Song:3 Ein großes Kontingent aus AATA Sydney nahmen an der Veranstaltung und hatte einen ihrer erfolgreichsten Wettbewerbe, sicher eine gute Vorbereitung für die Wettbewerbe AATA nächstes Wochenende. Wunderbare Vorstellungen im Finale-Gala Konzert mit den Wettbewerbs Gewinnern und eine Reihe anderer feinenKünstler einschließlich des Akkordeon-Orchesters mit Gary Daverne (Bild unten), Maurice Jones, Lionel Reekie, Kevin Friedrich. Die Einladung einiger vorherigen NZ und Südpazifik Akkordeon Solo Champions, Akkordeon Orchester Dirigenten und Langzeit-Mitglieder war ein sehr nettes Feature, um ihnen für ihren Beitrag zum Akkordeon in NZ zu danken. Die Veranstaltung endete mit einem Farewell Dinner zu Ehren von John Statham, der 28 Jahre lang als NZAA Präsident fungierte.  Am 2. Juni 2011 wäre der 90. Geburtstag des Komponisten und Akkordeonisten Eugene Ettore (Foto oben rechts, 1921-1985) eine der herausragenden Größen der amerikanischen Szene Akkordeon in den Jahren nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg, gewesen.Zu Ehren seines Geburtstages, hat USA News Editor Rita Davidson (Foto unten rechts) seine spezielle Webseite mit Fotos von vielen Preise und Auszeichnungen die Ettore im Laufe der Jahre erhielt, aktualisiert. Alle diese Auszeichnungen sind im Hause von Ettore in Livingston, New Jersey ausgestellt, wo seine Tochter, Carol und Familie leben. Eugene Ettore war äußerst eng verbunden mit seiner musikalischen Tradition und seinen Kollegen italienischer Abstammung, wie die - Akkordeon Legenden, Pietro Frosini und die Deiro Brüder Pietro und Guido. Die CD "Ettore Fantasia „ mit 14 seiner Kompositionen wurde 1999 von Pearl Fawcett-Adriano aufgezeichnet und es ist zu hoffen, dass alle, - vor allem die jüngere Generation von diesem außergewöhnlichem Künstlern erfahren und seine Musik in ihr Repertoire aufnehmen. Demnächst wird es auf der Eugene Ettore Webseite auch mp3 Sound Files seiner Kompositionen zu hören geben und aufgenommen von Rita Davidson. | Das 5. Internationale Akkordeon-Festival Victoria findet vom 14 bis 17 Juli in Victoria, BC, Kanada unter der Leitung des Festival Direktors Aleksandar Milojevic, statt. Der Erfolg in den letzten Jahren des Festivals hat dazu beigetragen, einige hervorragende Konzerte, Workshops und Unterhaltung, darunter eine offene Bühne, Messe und zum allerersten Mal in Victoria eine Akkordeon-Parade organisieren zu können. Der Ehrengäste sind in diesem Jahr der berühmte Jazz Akkordeonist Frank Marocco und eine der führenden klassischen Kanadas Akkordeonisten, Jelena Milojevic. Mit dabei wird auch Bonnie Birch und ihr Trio aus Seattle, USA sein. Außerdem gibt es in diesem Jahr zum ersten Mal einen Wettbewerb für Akkordeonorchester! Weiters bietet das Festival Ausstellungen, Workshops, Open Stage und abendlichen Tanz im Comfort Hotel & Conference Centre in Victoria.  The Santa Maria Accordion Band recently performed at short notice in a public concert in the town of Zabbar, as part of ‘Zabbar Day 2011’.The band played several popular tunes to an audience that included some renowned cultural personalities, such as leading poets, artists, singers, politicians, mayors and councilors, and several personalities in the cultural circle. The event was broadcast on the Zabbar radio channel, and was presented by a leading Maltese TV and radio personality, Charles Abela Mizzi, during which he interviewed our band Director Marthese Busuttil Cassar about our unique accordion band in Malta.  Ksenija Sidorova performs two concerts next week in London. First is on June 20th, 7.45pm, at the Purcell Room, and the second, which forms part of her MMus Degree at the Royal Academy of Music, takes place on June 22nd, 7pm, at St. Olave's Church, 8 Hart St, near Fenchurch St railway station. Both concerts are admission free.Classical accordionist Ksenija Sidorova, born in Latvia in 1988, obtained a BMus Diploma from the RAM in July 2009. She is currently in her final year of the Masters Program at the RAM, studying under Professor Owen Murray. Her many successes in London include being a joint winner of the ‘Friends of the Royal Academy of Music Wigmore Award,’ which led to her Wigmore Hall debut on May 18th 2009. Future engagements include a debut recital at the Lucerne Festival, Switzerland, on August 25th, 12.15pm, at the Church of St Luke, and the North Norfolk Festival in September 2011.
