  Le secrétaire général de la CIA, Kimmo Mattila, annonce que le système d'inscription en ligne pour la Coupe Mondiale 2021 est désormais ouvert pour les inscriptions à la 74e Coupe Mondiale sur la page des Règles générales pour la compétition 2021 : 2021CM-RulesLe président de l'ICA, Mirco Patarini, invite tous les (45) membres de l'ICA à inscrire des délégués au 146e Congrès international des délégués qui se réunit deux fois à Munich. Le Président Patarini invite également les concurrents de toutes les nations à bien vouloir s’inscrire bien avant la date de clôture afin de faciliter le travail des organisateurs pour ce qui sera très certainement, une grande Coupe Mondiale. La 74e Coupe Mondiale se tiendra du 13 au 17 octobre 2021, à Munich, en Allemagne, sous l’égide de la Deutscher Harmonika-Verband e.V. (DHV). Le premier vice-président du DHV, Georg Hettmann, souhaite la bienvenue à tous à Munich dans ses belles structures d’accueil pour les compétitions et concerts.  Frank Busso, Snr recevra le 2022 American Accordionists' Association (AAA) Lifetime Achievement Award au festival 2022 qui aura lieu au Marriott Philadelphia West Hotel à Conshohocken, Pennsylvanie, USA du 13 au 22 juillet 2022.Frank a fidèlement servi l'AAA en tant que trésorier, vice-président, président (1981, 1992-94) et a également présidé de nombreux comités, notamment les festivals nationaux annuels et la série de concerts pour jeunes artistes. Il a occupé le poste de contrôleur de l'AAA pendant de nombreuses années. Pendant des décennies, Frank a été un enseignant, un interprète, un chef d'orchestre et un ambassadeur complet de l'accordéon. Vous pouvez lire l'article de fond du Journal du festival AAA 2017 : "Spotlight on Frank Busso Sr.". C'est la biographie agréable, réconfortante et éclairante d'un homme dont la vie tournait autour de son amour de l'accordéon, de la communauté nationale de l'accordéon et de sa famille. | Le directeur artistique du Festival d'Accordéon de Prato, Roberto Beneventi, a annoncé que le Festival d'Accordéon de Prato 2021 se tiendra au Circolo La Libertà à Prato, en Italie, le 11 septembre 2021 à 14h. Les interprètes incluent Simone Zanchini, Roberto Gervasi Trio, Marco Tiranti, Riccardo Centazzo (concert et masterclass uniquement) et Daniele Storai. | La 5e Académie d'été d'harmonica se tiendra à l'Académie internationale d'été d'accordéon (SIAA), Hostel Panorama, Portoroz, Piran, Slovénie du 18 au 22 août 2021. L'événement est une aventure d'accordéon de cinq jours sur la côte slovène organisée par l'Association des accordéonistes slovènes, le directeur Marko Stumperger. Les tuteurs Prof. Ozren Stevanovic, Prof. Marjan Krajna, Prof. Zoran Lupinc, Prof. Andreas Nebl et Directeur Marko Stumperger, offriront des Masterclasses, un mentorat professionnel, des conférences, des pièces de musique de chambre, des pièces d'orchestre, ainsi qu’une exposition d’accordéon intitulée « Se familiariser avec la littérature ». Les participants du SIAA sont des étudiants (âgés de 7 à 18 ans) et des adultes sans limite d'âge, originaires de 8 pays différents. L'académie d'été de cette année servira également de préparation au festival des groupes de musique chambre et des solistes d'accordéon diatonique qui aura lieu, en octobre, à l'école de musique Laško-Radece en Slovénie.  Video: Closing Concert of the 2021 Yangtai Mountain Cup and National Accordion Art Festival for Primary and Middle School students, Shenzhen has been held in China from 16th - 17th January.President of the Juries Mr. Tong Jianhua reported that the overall improvement of the technical level of the contestants has exceeded the previous festival. There was a total of 2,392 contestants from 65 cities of 31 provinces and municipalities. | On June 18th, Accordions Worldwide published “Berlin Celebrates Piazzolla” in the Weekly News. You can see the item at: http://www.accordions.com/news.aspx?d=18-Jun-2021&lang=en#art17700 When concerts with an audience were still impossible due to the pandemic, musicians from seven European countries met with strings from the Berliner Symphoniker to record the big concert “Berlin celebrates Piazzolla” on May 30th, 2021 in the Auenkirche. The first part of the concert has now been published. The Quinteto Respiro, consisting of Sebastien Innocenti (bandoneon), Emilie Aridon-Kociolek (piano), Sabrina Condello (violin), Fabio Lo Curto (bass clarinet) and Dorian Marcel (double bass) has presented an excellent program of the highest quality. Outstanding international accordionists such as Yuri Shishkin, Sergei Osokin, Egle Bartkeviciute, Gorka Hermosa as well as the talented young accordionists Piotr Yarinenko and Ryan Corbett presented a very interesting program together with strings from the Berliner Symphoniker under the conductor Symeon Ioannidis. There were also two world premieres: “Dwarves‘ Tales” for accordion and strings by Gorka Hermosa which is dedicated to the Pantonale Festival, and “Infinito” for accordion and strings by Victor Vlasov. |

 The St Audries Bay holiday team have sadly announced that the July 2021 Accordion Week in Somerset has been cancelled due to the current pandemic and restrictions. The camp cannot operate the restaurant or bar for our accordion week.However, some positive news - the dates have been confirmed for 2022. They are July 9th to 15th, 2022, so please mark these dates in your diary. | The Accordionists & Teachers Guild, International (ATG) will present an online summer concert entitled “Dynamic Duos” on July 18th, 2021 at 2pm Central Time, 3pm EDT. Performers include Michael Bridge (digital accordion) in duo with Kornel Wolak (clarinet), and Stas Venglevski (acoustic accordion) in duo with Rene Izquierdo (guitar). Attendees can also have the opportunity to “Meet the artists” 30 minutes before concert. With your ticket purchase, access to the concert will be available until July 26, 2021.  Video: Good Habits performing "Roxanne" (by The Police).The "Good Habits" duo will give a Farewell Tour of New Zealand, before leaving for their homeland in the UK. The duo comprises of singer-cellist Bonnie Schwarz and accordionist Pete Shaw. They will be joined by New Zealand singer/songwriter Jenny Mitchell (picture right) for their September concerts. They enjoy playing “folk-infused music that tests the limits of their traditional instruments, maintaining folk roots of musical storytelling amongst their energetic, virtuosic playing.  Joseph Natoli will perform at the San Francisco Accordion Club in California, USA on July 18th, 2021.Joe has been a performer and advocate of the accordion since the age of seven. Some of Joe's most recent recordings include an all-acoustic accordion CD entitled “Omaggio”, and an all-digital Roland V-Accordion CD entitled “Waltz for Ron”. In 2018, a new CD was released entitled “Chameleon” (Vol 1) which focuses on the widely diverse styles of Joe’s original compositional output. | The Hohner Conservatory in Trossingen, Germany will hold an Information Day on July 18th, 2021. This event is aimed primarily at interested accordionists who are looking for a training opportunity from September 2021. Accordion teachers as well as representatives of clubs and orchestras are welcome to attend. In addition to the opportunity to talk to lecturers, students and employees of the conservatory, there will be live music by current students of the conservatory. | Klaus Paier will hold a Jazz Accordion Workshop at the Musikforum in Klagenfurt-Viktring, Austria from July 26th to 29th, 2021. The workshop will be in German and English languages for accordionists, teachers and students. The program will cover group and individual work for accordion and bandoneon in jazz, tango and more, improvisation, interpretation and practice concepts. Paier will use his own musical biography to try to trace tendencies and developments of jazz and jazz-related music.  The CNIMA directed by Nathalie Boucheix will hold an accordion workshop with Claude Thomain (picture left) from August 9th to 13th, 2021 in Saint-Sauves-d’Auvergne, France.Claude Thomain is an accordion composer of “melodic yet innovative pieces that are played all over the world.” Interested students are encouraged to join this workshop to work on one of his pieces under his guidance and take part in an accordion orchestra.  Video: Martin Kot & Viktor Stocker performing Adios Nonino by Astor Piazzolla“Duo Absoluto”, which includes young accordionists Viktor Stocker and Martin Kot, finished their school year with a performance in the courtyard of Vlasim castle in Vlasim, Czech Republic recently. The duo was formed in 2019 and since that time the boys have won a variety of competitions as a duo and as soloists including 1st place in the Chamber Music category of the 2019 International Accordion Days in Prague. Recently, they received the results of the National accordion competition in Dobrany (Czech Republic). Martin Kot won 1st place in the Senior Classic category, and Viktor Stocker won 1st place in the popular music under 12 years category. Both boys qualified as representatives of the Czech Republic for the 2021 accordion competition Trophée Mondial De L'accordion. |
