 Ian Lowthian (picture left) will run an online “Intermediate Accordion Weekend” on October 23rd and 24th, 2021.The event will include a variety of musical styles with the opportunity for discussion and questions. Ian says “Over the years, many of you have had a go at my number one hit “The Stomach Steinway Man”, so I thought I might spend a little time on this tune at the intermediate weekend sorting out the fingering, phrasing, bellows changes etc. to help make the tune easier to play….I would also like to take a bit more time at this weekend to look at how to get the best out of the tunes through bellows control, best fingerings, articulations and dynamics etc. and perhaps discuss practice techniques to improve your general playing.” For details email: ianlowthian@yahoo.co.uk |
