  CIA-Präsident Mirco Patarini schreibt: "Ich freue mich, dass Teilnehmer aus der ganzen Welt am 71. Coupe World teilnehmen werden, der vom 24. bis 30. September in Kaunas, Litauen, stattfindet.Es sind ca. 90 Teilnehmer und 66 internationale Delegierte aus 25 verschiedenen Ländern weltweit registriert Die Stadt Kaunas mit der litauischen Nationalen Akkordeonisten Union, Präsident Kazys Stonkus, Vizepräsident von Mindaugas Labanauskas, bereiten eine außergewöhnliche Veranstaltung vor. Präsident Patarini fügte hinzu: "Während des Coupe World 2018 wird es auch aufregende Konzerte geben, das "World Accordion Orchestra X" und die CIA-Delegierten werden ihre 140. Generalversammlung abhalten, in welcher eine Vielzahl internationaler Geschäfte einbezogen und einige Mitglieder der CIA neu bestellt werden. Für diejenigen, die nicht an der Coupe World 2018 teilnehmen können, gibt es vollständige Tagesberichte, Bilder, Informationen und Videos jeder Teilnehmer, einschließlich des finalen Preisträgerkonzerts am Samstag, 30. September, online auf der Coupe Mondiale Webseite.   Der Stadtrat von Castelfidardo (Region Marken, Italien), in Zusammenarbeit mit Pro Loco Castelfidardo Touristen Association, organisiert den PIF Internationalen Wettbewerb „Città di Castelfidardo“ für Akkordeon Solisten und Gruppen vorbehalten, klassischer Musik und anderer Genres.Die Castelfidardo Stadtverwaltung wird von Bürgermeister Roberto Ascani, der Pro Loco Castelfidardo unter der Leitung von Ruben Bürgern und Künstlerischen Leiter Renzo Ruggieri geleitet und vom 9. bis 16. August mit großer Begeisterung zu ihrem ersten internationalen Konzert, Akkordeonist Mirco Patarener, der auch der Präsident der CIA (Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes) ist. Alfonso Maslucan und Marisol Espinoza Cruz, Kongressabgeordnete und Mitglied des Verbandes der lokalen Behörden einschließlich des Kulturministers eine wichtige politische Figur in Peru weilten dem Konzert bei welches in Lima im Großen Theater von San Isidro stattfand und ausverkauft war. Mirco Patarini verzauberte das Publikum mit einer Aufführung von verschiedenen Musikstilen, sowohl Folk als auch Konzert. Während seiner Ansprache lud Mirco Patarini den Verband ein,sich als Mitglied beim CIA (ältester und wichtigster internationale Akkordeon Wettbewerb) zu bewerben und viele Akkordeonisten auch aus Peru auf internationaler Bühne bewundern zu können. Mirco Patarener wurde aus dem Congreso de la Republica in Peru mit einem Zertifikat „Anerkennung an Mirco Partarini für seine wertvolle und ständige Unterstützung bei der Förderung und Verbreitung der peruanischen Kulturen und Akkordeon“, geehrt. Das Zertifikat wurde von Enrique Daniel Salaverry Villa (Präsident des Congreso de la Republica) und Kongressabgeordnete Marisol Espinoza Cruz unterzeichnet, die auch das renommierten Zertifikat Mirco Patarener präsentierte. Ebenfalls anwesend war der Besitzer von LATAM Airlines, der Botschafter von Santo Domingo, der Präsident der Kommission für Kultur der Regierung und viele andere wichtige Menschen in Peru. |

 Jubiläumsausgabe des großartigen Akkordeon-Weltorchesters an, das im Rahmen des kommenden 71. Coupe Mondiale und des 140. CIA-Kongresses der internationalen Delegiertenversammlung in Kaunas, Litauen, stattfinden wird.Die Veranstaltung wird vom 24. bis 30. September 2018 vom CIA-Mitglied The Lithuanian National Accordionists 'Union veranstaltet. Das Konzert des World Accordion Orchestra X findet am Sonntag, den 30. September 2018 statt. Das "World Accordion Orchestra X" wurde 2007 in Washington DC von Musikdirektor und CIA-Ehrenmitglied Prof. Joan Sommers gegründet und wird drei Werke von drei verschiedenen amerikanischen Komponisten spielen. 1. Serenata von Leroy Anderson 2. Recuerdos von Amy Jo Sawyer 3. West Side Story - Die CIA nimmt an der weltweiten Hundertjahrfeier zu Ehren von Leonard Bernsteins 100. Geburtstag teil. Die Dirigentin Prof. Joan Sommers erhielt den Titel Emerita nach ihrer Emeritierung von der University of Missouri am Kansas City Conservatory of Music (USA), wo sie vierzig Jahre lang das Akkordeon-Programm etablierte und lehrte. Dies ist eine einmalige Gelegenheit für Akkordeonisten, sich beim Coupe Mondiale 2018 für ein großes internationales Orchester zu bewerben und die Erfahrung zu genießen, unter der berühmten Leitung von Joan C.  In pdf format sent to you by email.The Lilliput series by Ivano Battiston is not an accordion method but a collection of small musical forms, divided into five volumes, inspired by the Mikrokosmos by Béla Bartók and composed with the following didactic intents: - offer musical material - to the accordionist with a single note instrument - from the very first lessons up to the thresholds of a medium level preparation (fifth year of study); - bring the scholar closer to most musical forms and to a heterogeneous sound world; - lead the young accordionist towards a gradual exploration of the instrument, through an active participation in the problems of musical interpretation; - increase instrumental skills through learning based on the increase in the number of sounds; - introduce the scholar to the orchestral dimension of the accordion, also creating compositions inspired by the characteristics of the other musical instruments. The pieces can be played with any type of instrument provided with single notes. Volumes II and III of Lilliput! are required for the accordion admission exam in Italian music high schools (Licei musicali).  I became the AAA Historian six months before the association’s 70th anniversary in 2008. It came as a shock to me when I was told that there had never been an official historian prior to myself and that there were no files, no organized photographs, no documents – nothing that was readily accessible to me. I had to start from scratch. I was totally determined to come up with a reasonable 70 year presentation for the July festival, so I turned to my wonderful mentor, Faithe Deffner. “I will help you”, said Faithe, and she certainly did!  ‘60 at Sixty’ is a new release from Sean Wilson. During nearly thirty years of recording and performing, the Irish accordion player and singer has accumulated a huge repertoire of songs. On this new three disc project he combines 6 new songs, 14 of his most memorable recordings, 20 songs that are not released on CD and a newly created DVD: ‘You Can't Turn Back The Years’. The DVD describes Sean's earliest days growing up around Lough Neagh in County Derry and his improbable but richly earned successes. He goes on to describe the highs and lows of his career and features his best performances on video. After nearly three decades entertaining global audiences, this release is the first time Sean features a compilation of his most popular songs and will be a great introduction to those who don't know his work so well.Sean Wilson, from Derry in Northern Ireland, began playing the accordion as a young boy when his father bought him an instrument. He joined a local ceili band, played at dances, then one night was prompted to sing a song, leading Sean to do more singing. This eventually led to a record deal, and over the years his prolific CD and DVD sales have been huge throughout Ireland, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. | The 11th Annual Noir Festival returns to East Vancouver September 14 – 16, 2018 at the Wise Hall. They have a full slate of talent lined up including singer and author Geoff Berner who is also billed as the patron Saint of the Accordion Noir movement. Geoff has participated in many of the festivals and is determined to show an entire generation of accordion punks that another, less bubbly, world is possible. Also taking part in the festival is legendary busker-king Jason Webley returning to the festival after a long absence who will be spinning yarns like a Russian sailor we hear. Also performing is Emchy who is inspired by 1920s cabaret music, murder ballads and Leonard Cohen. Saturday’s festivities include a Polka Party, so come on down and kick up your heels and dance. The festival kicks off Friday evening at 8:00 pm. Admission is $20. Advance tickets for Saturday’s dance party available through Brown Paper Tickets. |

 Scottish accordionist and singer Ronnie Ross entertains at Armstrong's Social Club, Grovehill Road, Beverley HU17 0ED, near Hull, on Saturday September 15th and Sunday 16th. On Saturday evening Ronnie Ross plays for ballroom and sequence dancing, and on Sunday afternoon performs a concert of Country, Scottish and East Listening music.Ronnie Ross, from Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, comes from a musical family. A self-taught accordionist, he is a resident entertainer in several hotels, and also owns a recording studio. He has recorded several CDs and DVDs, the most recent being a CD of Scottish accordion music, ‘Scottish Accordion Gems’. |

| The trio Kosmos concerts perform in concert on Saturday 15th, 7.30pm, at the Curry Rivel Music Club, St Andrew's Church, The Green, Curry Rivel, near Langport, Somerset. Kosmos are Harriet Mackenzie – violin, Meg Hamilton – viola, and Miloš Milivojevic – accordion. Serbian-born Miloš Milivojevic is a first prize winner at international competitions in Germany, France, Italy and Denmark. In Serbia he studied with Vojin Vasovic, and with Owen Murray at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he graduated and was awarded with Dip RAM. In 2007 he became the first accordionist ever to win the RAM Club Prize at the Academy and in the 2008 was the Winner of the prestigious Derek Butler London Prize at the Wigmore Hall, London.
