Broadcast of "The Accordion" Sunday 9 May, 9.15 pm on Sky Arte (channels 120 and 400 of Sky) - Castelfidardo/Italy

The documentary film "La Fisarmonica" (The Accordion) broadcast on Sky Arte is about the 40th anniversary of the Museo della Fisarmonica (Castelfidardo Accordion Museum).

An important work of cultural promotion, a precious and further piece of the dossier that supports the candidacy for UNESCO heritage. Ennobled by the narrative voice of an artist of depth like Raphael Gualazzi, the result of the professionalism of a team of experts and stimulated by the institutional will, it arrives on Sunday 9 May at 9.15 pm on Sky Arte (channels 120 and 400 of Sky) and on the platform Now TV titled the documentary "The accordion".

Produced by Sonne Film and K + directed by Giangiacomo De Stefano with the support of the Marche Region and the Municipality in collaboration with Sky Arte, the film is a story that from local becomes universal describing the evolution and the main protagonists of an excellence (of accordions) made in Castelfidardo.

A spark fired thanks to Paolo Soprani, in the years following the Risorgimento battle of 1860 and which has since reverberated in the many companies that have operated in this sector over time, and continues to produce an incredible and complex instrument, whose peculiarities are effectively documented in the documentary film by renowned artists/musicians such as Richard Galliano.

The broadcast date corresponds to the 40th anniversary of the foundation of the International Accordion Museum which will be remembered throughout the 9th May date with themed piped music through the streets of the historic center, free admission (for residents only) and musical aperitif at 17.30.

The International Accordion Museum, which has recently undergone a logical and structural restyling that has made it possible to renovate, among other things, the settings and exhibition paths, was inaugurated on 9 May 1981 after a great amount of work in preparation and collection of the accordions and historical material. There was an exceptional impulse to participate in the month of February in an episode of the famous “Portobello” conducted by Enzo Tortora, promoters and founders Gervasio Marcosignori (picture right top), and founding directors Beniamino Bugiolacchi (picture middle right) and Vincenzo Canali (picture lower right)
