Tournée d’été de Raimo Vertainen & “Guardia Nueva”, en Finlande puis à Shenzhen, Chineby Christine Johnstone |

 L’orchestre de tango “Guardia Nueva” dirigé par le directeur musical Raimo Vertainen a fait une tournée en Finlande, le mois dernier, participant aux festivals les plus importants de Finlande.Des concerts notamment au Arts Festival, au festival tango de Seinäjoki (pour une audience de plus de 3000 personnes), le festival Kiuruvesi (3,500 audience) et à l’église de Lohtaja, où s’est jointe à eux, la chanteuse de jazz et de soul, Johanna Försti. Au 30ième anniversaire jubilé de Jyvsäkylä en Finlande, ils ont joué avec la soliste Arja Koriseva (photo à gauche), une artiste finlandaise très connue. Suite à ce concert Raimo Vertainen s’est rendu à Shenzhen, en Chine, à sa première Coupe Mondiale en tant que membre du comité musical du CIA - le comité qui sélectionne le jury et où Raimo est aussi responsable – Bref un mois musical bien chargé pour Raimo. |

 L’American Accordion Association a annoncé que son festival 2020 se tiendra au Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites à Alexandrie, en Virginie, du 8 au 12 juillet 2020.Le festival inclura des artistes tels que Sam Reider, Cory Pesaturo, Joey Miskulin, l’orchestre du festival dirigé par Mary Tokarski , des compétitions, ateliers et bien plus. Nombreux seront là aussi là pour applaudir le couronnement de la carrière de Linda Solely Reed, avec son énorme contribution au AAA depuis les années 70 à nos jours, notamment, pendant de nombreuses, en tant que présidente années.  Le festival mondial du film de rue s’est tenu à Rostov-on-Don en Russie les 23 et 24 août. Durant le festival on a pu assisté à "Rostov à l’écran" avec projection de vidéos sur grand écran. Une vidéo présentant l’Hallelujah de Léonard Cohen à l’accordéon, a gagné le prix spécial “Nouvelle vision de la région" (photo à droite). A part l’accordéon, la vidéo présente des images du parc national “Rostovskiy” en Russie, les ruines de l’église Surb-Karapet (dans le village de Nesvetai), le comté de Miasnikov et la région de Rostov, en Russie. La vidéo est le fruit du travail d’Alexander Poeluev (accordéoniste, arrangeur), Roman Kirimeev (cameraman et monteur), Dmitry Vodogretskiy (ingénieur du son), Elizaveta Poelueva (scénariste, productrice). La vidéo est aussi en compétition pour "Na Blago Mira" (« Pour le benefice du monde"). Le premier tour de la compétition dépend des votes du public. Si la vidéo a assez de vote, elle sera pré-sélectionnée dans une liste de vidéos que les membres du jury visionneront afin de déterminer quelle est la meilleure. Le vote est gratuit et peut être fait à travers un lien sur internet. | Le festival Strumenti&Musica est un évènement organisé à Spoleto par l’association culturelle de l’accordéon italien (IAC) et l’éditeur et producteur Ars Spoletium. Mirco Patarini est le directeur artistique du festival et Michele Rossetti est le directeur artistique de la compétition internationale de piano de Spoletto. Il y’a une importante compétition de piano et le 22 novembre au soir, un concert qui présentera l’accordéoniste Samuele Telari et la pianiset Lucrezia Proietti au Palazzo Leti Sansi. Une partie importante du festival Strumenti&Musica 2019 est la 3ième compétition internationale de composition “Città di Spoleto”. Chaque participant peut présenter une ou plusieurs compositions pour : a) piano et accordéon b) piano (solo) c) accordéon (solo) d) clarinette, piano et accordéon e) clarinette and accordéon Chaque composition ne doit pas excéder 12 minutes.  The Accordion Association of Chinese Musicians' Association (CAA) welcomed the World Accordion Orchestra XI to the Final Concert of the 72nd Coupe Mondiale Festival in Shenzhen, China, from August 12th to 17th, 2019.The World Accordion Orchestra XI of approximately 120 players were led by famous Chinese conductor Chen Weiliang and the amazing Joan Sommers, founder and also Musical Director of the World Accordion Orchestra XI. | Dan Fedoryka is the accordionist for “Scythian”, a Celtic/folk/rock band that hosts Appaloosa, a 3-day music festival in Front Royal, Virginia, USA every Labor Day weekend (August 30th to September 1st this year). The festival features rising stars in Bluegrass, Americana and Celtic Music and takes place on a horse ranch campground nestled in the Shenandoah Valley. "Scythian" is celebrating 15 years as a band in conjunction with the 5th Annual Appaloosa Festival.  The 15th “Festival of the Axe” wood carving festival took place in the city of Tomsk in Western Siberia recently. This is an annual event which attracts over 400,000 visitors and participants from 37 countries and over 30 republics and regions of Russia.This year, for the first time the event was held in conjunction with the International Accordion Festival "Bayan Reunited with Friends". | The 7th annual Polish Cultural Festival will be held at Shipbuilders' Square in North Vancouver on September 8th from 1pm to 8pm. The event will feature Polish music, singing and folk dancing, a special program for children and youth, activities, sing along and more. Vendors will be selling Polish T-shirts and accessories, jewelery, arts and crafts, as well as plenty of delicious traditional Polish food such as sausages, perogis and pastries. The Parno Drom band which includes accordionist Bob Kozak will entertain at the festival with their Eastern European Romani (Gypsy) style music and songs from Russia, Poland, Hungary and beyond. | The 2019 Oktoberfest Munich will be held from September 21st to October 6th in Theresienwiese, Munich, Germany. The festival will include an opening ceremony, a variety of parades, concerts, children’s activities, fairground rides and a church service. Over 300 musicians are expected to take part in a unique performance of famous and popular Bavarian marches and songs in front of the picturesque backdrop of the Bavaria statue. For the grand finale, thousands of colorful balloons will be released into the sky in front of the Bavaria statue, while the audience sings along to the Bavarian anthem at the top of their voices.  Video: 'Broody' by Jet Black Pearl - a song about a middle aged chicken.The 24th Le Grand Soufflet International Accordion Festival will be held at the Centre Culturel Pôle Sud, in Chartres-de-Bretagne, Ille-et-Vilaine (French Brittany) from October 2nd to 12th. The Artistic Director is Etienne Grandjean. The festival is now an important festival in France dedicated to the accordion. Over 15,000 people attend each year, and performances are given in 30 to 40 venues, which can host up to 500 people. The purpose of the festival is to show the modern diversity of the accordion in a variety of styles such as electronic, punk, rock, experimental etc. This year artists from all over the world have been invited to show different styles of music (Brazil, Canada, Argentina, Madagascar, Finland, etc) as well as young promising artists from France and other countries.
