 Das Tango-Orchester „Guardia Nueva“ unter der Leitung von Musikdirektor Raimo Vertainen tourte letzten Monat durch Finnland und gab Konzerte auf einigen der größten Festivals Finnlands.Ihre Tournee beinhaltete Auftritte beim Jyvsäkylä Arts Festival, beim Seinäjoki Tango Festival (für über 3.000 Zuschauer), beim Kiuruvesi Festival (für 3.500 Zuschauer) und in der Lohtaja Kirche, wo sie von der Jazz- und Soulsängerin Johanna Försti begleitet wurden. An der Aufführung des Orchesters zum 30-jährigen Jubiläum von Jyvsäkylä in Finnland war die Solistin Arja Koriseva (Bild links) beteiligt, eine berühmte finnische Künstlerin. Nach Abschluss dieser Konzerttournee reiste Raimo Vertainen nach Shenzhen, wo er an seinem ersten Coupe Mondiale als Mitglied des CIA-Musikkomitees teilnahm, das die Jury auswählte und in dem Raimo auch Vorsitzender der Jury des World Music Ensemble war Kategorie, die einen sehr intensiven musikalischen Monat abschließt. |

 Die American Accordion Association gab bekannt, dass ihr 2020 Festival vom 8. bis 12. Juli 2020 im Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites in Alexandria, VA, stattfinden wird.Das Festival wird Gastkünstler wie Sam Reider, Cory Pesaturo, Joey Miskulin, ein Festivalorchester unter der Leitung von Mary Tokarski sowie Wettbewerbe, Workshops und vieles mehr umfassen. Viele werden auch anwesend sein, um den Lifetime Achievement Award zu würdigen, mit dem Linda Solely Reed für ihren enormen Beitrag zur AAA von den 1970ern bis heute geehrt wird.  Das World Street Film Festival fand am 23. und 24. August im russischen Rostow am Don statt. Die Veranstaltung beinhaltete ein spezielles "Rostov on the screen", das Videos auf großer Leinwand präsentierte.Das Akkordeonvideo Halleluja von Leonard Cohen wurde mit dem Sonderpreis "Ein neuer Blick auf die Region" ausgezeichnet (Bild rechts). Zusätzlich zum Akkordeon zeigt das Video Aufnahmen des staatlichen Naturnationalparks "Rostovskiy" in Russland, der Kirche Surb-Karapet-Ruinen (in Nesvetai Village), Miasnikov District und Rostov Region, Russland. Videokünstler: Alexander Poeluev (Akkordeon, Arrangeur), Roman Kirimeev (Dreharbeiten, Schnitt), Dmitry Vodogretskiy (Tontechniker), Elizaveta Poelueva (Drehbuchautor, Produzent). Das Video wurde nun in einem anderen Wettbewerb mit dem Titel "Na Blago Mira" (Zum Wohle der Welt) eingereicht. Runde 1 dieses Wettbewerbs hängt von öffentlichen Stimmen ab. Wenn das Video genügend Stimmen erhält, wird es in eine kurze Liste aufgenommen. Die Mitglieder der Jury sehen sich die Videos an und entscheiden, wer der Beste ist. Die Abstimmung ist kostenlos und kann über den Social-Media-Link abgeschlossen werden. | Das Strumenti & Musica Festival ist eine Veranstaltung, die in Spoleto vom Kulturverein Italienische Akkordeonkultur (IAC) und dem Verlag und der Aufnahme von Ars Spoletium organisiert wird. Mirco Patarini ist der künstlerische Leiter des Festivals und Michele Rossetti ist der künstlerische Leiter des internationalen Klavierwettbewerbs von Spoletto. Es gibt einen großen internationalen Klavierwettbewerb und am 22. November findet im Palazzo Leti Sansi ein Konzert mit Samuele Telari (Akkordeon) und der Pianistin Lucrezia Proietti statt. Ein wichtiger Bestandteil des Strumenti & Musica Festivals 2019 ist der 3. Internationale Kompositionswettbewerb „Città di Spoleto“. Jeder Antragsteller kann eine oder mehrere Kompositionen einreichen für: a) Klavier und Akkordeon b) Klavier (solo) c) Akkordeon (solo) d) Klarinette, Klavier und Akkordeon e) Klarinette und Akkordeon Jede Komposition sollte 12 Minuten nicht überschreiten.  The Accordion Association of Chinese Musicians' Association (CAA) welcomed the World Accordion Orchestra XI to the Final Concert of the 72nd Coupe Mondiale Festival in Shenzhen, China, from August 12th to 17th, 2019.The World Accordion Orchestra XI of approximately 120 players were led by famous Chinese conductor Chen Weiliang and the amazing Joan Sommers, founder and also Musical Director of the World Accordion Orchestra XI. | Dan Fedoryka is the accordionist for “Scythian”, a Celtic/folk/rock band that hosts Appaloosa, a 3-day music festival in Front Royal, Virginia, USA every Labor Day weekend (August 30th to September 1st this year). The festival features rising stars in Bluegrass, Americana and Celtic Music and takes place on a horse ranch campground nestled in the Shenandoah Valley. "Scythian" is celebrating 15 years as a band in conjunction with the 5th Annual Appaloosa Festival.  The 15th “Festival of the Axe” wood carving festival took place in the city of Tomsk in Western Siberia recently. This is an annual event which attracts over 400,000 visitors and participants from 37 countries and over 30 republics and regions of Russia.This year, for the first time the event was held in conjunction with the International Accordion Festival "Bayan Reunited with Friends". | The 7th annual Polish Cultural Festival will be held at Shipbuilders' Square in North Vancouver on September 8th from 1pm to 8pm. The event will feature Polish music, singing and folk dancing, a special program for children and youth, activities, sing along and more. Vendors will be selling Polish T-shirts and accessories, jewelery, arts and crafts, as well as plenty of delicious traditional Polish food such as sausages, perogis and pastries. The Parno Drom band which includes accordionist Bob Kozak will entertain at the festival with their Eastern European Romani (Gypsy) style music and songs from Russia, Poland, Hungary and beyond. | The 2019 Oktoberfest Munich will be held from September 21st to October 6th in Theresienwiese, Munich, Germany. The festival will include an opening ceremony, a variety of parades, concerts, children’s activities, fairground rides and a church service. Over 300 musicians are expected to take part in a unique performance of famous and popular Bavarian marches and songs in front of the picturesque backdrop of the Bavaria statue. For the grand finale, thousands of colorful balloons will be released into the sky in front of the Bavaria statue, while the audience sings along to the Bavarian anthem at the top of their voices.  Video: 'Broody' by Jet Black Pearl - a song about a middle aged chicken.The 24th Le Grand Soufflet International Accordion Festival will be held at the Centre Culturel Pôle Sud, in Chartres-de-Bretagne, Ille-et-Vilaine (French Brittany) from October 2nd to 12th. The Artistic Director is Etienne Grandjean. The festival is now an important festival in France dedicated to the accordion. Over 15,000 people attend each year, and performances are given in 30 to 40 venues, which can host up to 500 people. The purpose of the festival is to show the modern diversity of the accordion in a variety of styles such as electronic, punk, rock, experimental etc. This year artists from all over the world have been invited to show different styles of music (Brazil, Canada, Argentina, Madagascar, Finland, etc) as well as young promising artists from France and other countries.
