 The 2011 Australian International Accordion Championships and Festival? takes place on June 11th and 12th in Sydney, organized by the Australian Accordion Teachers Association (AATA) led by highly regarded President Tania Lukic-Marx.Major international categories are: • International Open Accordion Championships - 12 years and under solo; • International Open Accordion Championships - 15 years and under solo; • International Junior Virtuoso Accordion Championships - 20 years and under solo; • International Open Accordion Solo Championships; plus other international categories and all rules are on online at: www.aata.org.au In addition to the national and international competitions, the weekend includes concerts involving outstanding Australian and international performers, Australian International and South Pacific Accordion Champions, and master classes. The 2011 event includes a ‘Roland interactive’ session and the popular Sunday afternoon Gala Concert and Trophy Presentation. The closing dates for entries is May 1st 2011.
