 World Accordion Day, is a Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) event, held on May 6th, every year. This CIA international accordion event seeks to promote the accordion around the world and also marks the birthday of the accordion - May 6th 1829, the date the accordion was first patented, in Vienna, Austria, by Cyrillius Demien.
