Nathan Neuman Releases New Scandinavian CDby Christine Johnstone |
Video: Let's Spread Polka Music with Nathan Neuman. Nathan Neuman has just released his new CD of Scandinavian songs in "Dragspel" style. This special recording is a tribute to Paul Riley, an accordionist from New York who encouraged Nathan throughout the years in his music endeavours. He passed away in June, 2020. Nathan plays on a rare Raggie Special accordion built in the early 1930's by Ragnar Sundquist, a renowned musician, songwriter, and builder in Stockholm, Sweden. To compliment it in this recording, he added two Chicago chromatics from the same time period with similar tunings: Italy American Concertmaster and Ruatta & Crucianelli. He accompanied with rhythm acoustic guitar and upright bass.
