2020 Perth Accordion Virtual Festival - Scotlandby Christine Johnstone |

 The 71st 2020 Perth Accordion Festival will be run as a “Virtual Festival” this year because of Covid-19. Instead of staging the festival competitions in the halls and venues around Perth, competitors will record their performances from their own homes and send them in to the festival to be compiled with other entries in each class, then adjudicated and shared online for everyone to enjoy.The festival provides so much value & enjoyment and organisers are motivated to provide a virtual offering that goes someway to fill the gap left by the normal event. The competition will include accordion age group categories for soloists in Junior, Senior, Veteran and Open sections. Entries close on October 12th, 2020. Competition adjudicators are Alan Gardiner, Billy Anderson and James Cassidy. Performances and results will be shared online throughout the day on October 31st, 2020. For details phone: 07411 738810 |
