Alanah Jones Performs New Composition For Accordion with Choir - New Zealandby Harley Jones |
Alanah Jones (accordion) performed La luna blanca composed by David Hamilton with the Choralation (Westlake Boys' and Girls' High Schools) Choir in Auckland, New Zealand. The event was held by the New Zealand Choral Federation - The Big Sing 2019 National Finale - Session Three before an audience of over 1,200. Recorded with thanks to JX Live and Radio New Zealand Concert Programme. Alanah Jones sings in Choralation (at times as a vocal solist) and also plays accordion, so composer David Hamilton wrote this new work for Alanah to highlight accordion with the choir. Alanah is the daughter of well known accordionist Maurice Jones and music teacher and performer Lian Jones, who has her new website listed lower in this news. The work La luna blanca is being performed in concert again next month with Alanah again, the accordionist. |
