 Nach 43 Jahren Wartezeit wird die "Bellows Symphony" von Torbjörn Lundquist (1920-2000 - Bild rechts) von Susanne und Veli Kujala (Bild oben) am 6. November 2022 in der Helsinkier Felsenkirche in Helsinki, Finnland, endlich uraufgeführt.Das Werk wurde 1979 von Lundquist komponiert, galt aber damals als zu anspruchsvoll. Veli Kujala wurde darauf aufmerksam, als er die offizielle Homepage des Komponisten durchsuchte, die von den Kindern Lundquists gepflegt wird. Das Konzertprogramm umfasst auch Musik für zwei Akkordeons von Joachim F. W. Schneider, Uljas Pulkkis und Jukka Tiensuu. Bild unten: Die einzigartige Felsenkirche in Helsinki. |

FIA2022: Internationales Akkordeon-Festival - Chileby AWW |

 Das 4. FIA2022, das "Festival Internacional de Acordeón", wird diesen Monat in Talcahuano, Hualpén und Concepción in der Region Biobío in Chile stattfinden und von der Stiftung Entre Fuelles organisiert.Das Festival umfasst Interviews, Konferenzen, Meisterkurse, Konzerte und internationale Gäste mit dem Ziel, die Akkordeongemeinde in ganz Chile zu vereinen. Joaquín Muñoz Donoso, Direktor der FIA und Präsident der Stiftung Entre Fuelles, hat angekündigt, dass sie die Geschichten der Akkordeonisten hören und die "Geschichte des Akkordeons in Chile" schreiben wollen. Die bisherigen Interviews des Festivals werden über die sozialen Medien online gestellt, wobei internationale Interviewpartner bestätigt wurden: Francesca Pigini (Italien), Grayson Masefield (Neuseeland), Julien Beautemps (Frankreich, Bild unten), Frederic Deschamps (Frankreich), Renzo Ruggieri (Italien), Volodymyr Kashuta (Ukraine) und Antonino De Luca (Italien, Bild unten rechts) unter anderem. Die Konzerte finden am 10., 11. und 12. November im Teatro Dante in Talcahuano statt, unter anderem mit Sebastian Bravo alias Seba Malo (Chile, Bild unten links), Iñaki Alberdi (Spanien), Seba Mufasa (Chile), Duo Diverso (Akkordeonistin Alma Petrauskait & Pianistin Kristina Jeganian aus Litauen, Bild unten), Manuel Bustamante (Chile), Pato Pianola (Chile), Miguel Quinchamán (Chile), Yvonne Glur (Schweiz, Bild oben rechts) und Quintet Entre Fuelles. Im Dante-Theater finden Vorträge zu verschiedenen Themen wie Manouche-Musik, Barockmusik, brasilianische Musik und Luteria statt, und im Kulturzentrum Hualpén werden Meisterkurse über professionelle Technik abgehalten. Alle Veranstaltungen werden live vor Ort abgehalten und online gestreamt. Der Eintritt ist frei. |

 Der zweite virtuelle Wettbewerb der American Accordionists' Association (AAA) bot Akkordeonisten aller Alters- und Leistungsklassen eine hervorragende Gelegenheit, aufzutreten, sich zu messen und zu verbessern.Der Organisator des Wettbewerbs, Frank Busso Jr., leitete die Veranstaltung, während Mike Silvia die Teilnehmer und Wertungsrichter technisch unterstützte. In diesem Jahr wurden die Beiträge von Frank Busso Sr., Joanna Darrow, Kevin Friedrich, Eddie Monteiro und Mary Tokarski bewertet. Dieser Fonds, der von der Community Foundation for Greater New Haven (Connecticut) verwaltet wird, wurde im Jahr 2018 eingerichtet. Er wurde von Mary Tokarski ins Leben gerufen, um ihren verstorbenen Ehemann Frank zu ehren, der ihre Musik über Jahrzehnte hinweg liebevoll unterstützte, und um jungen Menschen die Möglichkeit zu geben, "die Bereicherung und die Freude zu erleben, die das Musizieren mit sich bringt."   Video: Mirco Patarini bei der Aufführung von Il Bosco della Musica, einer Komposition des hoch angesehenen italienischen Komponisten Roberto Molinelli. Die sehr gut aufgenommene Darbietung fand am 28. Oktober 2022 im Prager Konservatorium in der Tschechischen Republik statt. Mirco Patarini ist weltweit in mehr als 69 Ländern aufgetreten und hat dabei ein breites Spektrum von klassischem Repertoire bis hin zu moderner Musik gespielt, von Soloauftritten bis hin zu Konzerten für Akkordeon und Orchester und mit Gruppen. Seit 2017 ist Mirco Patarini ist seit 2017 Präsident der Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA). Roberto Molinelli komponierte dieses originelle Stück für Solo-Akkordeon, Streichorchester und Schlagzeug speziell für das PIF von Castelfidardo. Der Titel ist dem Namen "Il Bosco della Musica" des von Tonino Guerra entworfenen Kunstbrunnens entnommen, der sich in den Gärten von Porta Marina in Castelfidardo befindet. |

  Das Romano Viazzani Ensemble wird diesen Monat im Rahmen der Konzertreihe "Family Sundays" zwei Konzerte im Royal Opera House in London, England, geben.Die Sonntagskonzerte stehen unter dem Motto "Heroes and Villains" (Helden und Schurken) und sind eine Initiative des Royal Opera House, die Familien mit Kindern den Zugang zur Musik erleichtern soll. Die Veranstaltungen sind für alle geeignet, richten sich aber an Familien mit Kindern zwischen drei und zehn Jahren. Romano Viazzani wird am 6. und 20.  Das Dargaville Museum, das die großartigen Accordion Gems von Kevin Friedrich beherbergt ... Eine Meistersammlung von Akkordeons im Wandel der Zeit... ist auch der Veranstaltungsort des Weihnachtskonzerts 2022 von Kevin Friedrich and Friends.Mit großer Freude kündigt das Dargaville Museum die Wiederaufnahme der beliebten Benefizkonzerte an, die das Dargaville Museum Function Center so oft bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllt haben. "Christmas Joy" findet am Sonntag, den 4. Dezember um 13.00 Uhr statt und wird wieder einmal unsere Gemeinde und Gäste zu einem großartigen und unterhaltsamen Nachmittag voller Musik und Freundschaft zusammenbringen. Das Konzert wird von Kevin Friedrich moderiert und bietet Weihnachtslieblinge, einige Lieder zum Mitsingen und einige Überraschungen, die von einer Reihe von Künstlern präsentiert werden, darunter: North Shore Accordion Orchestra (unter der Leitung von Heather Masefield und Christine Johnstone) mit Mitgliedern wie Grayson Masefield, Maurice Jones, Lian Jones und Kevin Friedrich; Lionel Reekie (Sänger und Akkordeonist), Alanah & Maurice Jones (Sänger), Jone Yelcich (Sängerin), Rivertown Singers und Take 6 (Chor), Thomas Koloi (Klavier und Gesang), Sonja Whitehouse als Solistin und mit ihrem Kaipara Ensemble, Ros Gilmour (Sängerin), Linda Emmett Litt (Perkussion) und andere. Die Organisatorin des Konzerts, Margaret Tier, hat fleißig geprobt und berichtet, dass alles für ein weiteres herausragendes Gemeinschaftsereignis mit einer beeindruckenden Auswahl an talentierten Künstlern bereit ist. Das Dargaville Museum beherbergt die einzige öffentliche Akkordeonausstellung in der südlichen Hemisphäre "Accordion Gems, A Master Collection of Accordions Through Time". Die 150 ausgestellten Instrumente, die von Kevin Friedrich zusammengestellt und kuratiert wurden, zeigen die faszinierende Entwicklung des Instruments in seiner fast 200-jährigen Geschichte. Die Eintrittskarten kosten 20 $ pro Erwachsenem, Jugendliche (15 Jahre und jünger) sind frei. Tickets für Erwachsene und kostenlose Tickets für Jugendliche sind im Dargaville Museum erhältlich. | The XIX Moscow International Festival "Harmonica - the Soul of Russia" will be held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Alfred Martinovich Mirek, a highly regarded teacher, author and recipient of many awards in Russia. He is perhaps most famous as the founder of the Museum of Russian Harmonica in Moscow and creator of this festival. The festival program will take place from November 17th to November 21st, 2022. It will include five concerts and the Round Table, the theme of which is the creative heritage of Professor Alfred Martinovich Mirek. Festival concerts will be held at three concert venues as follows: • November 17th at 7pm - Grand opening concert in the Great Concert Hall of the State Budgetary Institution of Culture of Moscow "Memorial Museum of A.N. Skryabin". • November 18th at 4pm - Round table dedicated to the creative heritage of Professor Alfred Martinovich Mirek in the Concert Hall at the Museum of Russian Harmonica A. Mirek. Free admission • November 18th at 7pm - Concert "Magic Accordion" in the Concert Hall at the Museum of Russian Harmonica A. Mirek. • November 19th at 2.30pm - Concert "Parade of Virtuosos" in the Concert Hall at the Museum of Russian Harmonica A. Mirek). • November 20th at 2.30pm - Concert "Variety Kaleidoscope" in the Concert Hall at the Museum of Russian Harmonica A. Mirek. • November 21st - Birthday of Professor A.M. Mirek The final gala concert of the festival will be held in the Chamber Concert Hall at the International House of Music. The final Gala concert will be held in two parts of 60 minutes each. Famous Russian musicians on the bayan, accordion and various types of harmonicas will perform popular Russian folk melodies, masterpieces of world classics and also feature jazz melodies in original arrangements. The performance of the artists will be accompanied by a video about the life, work and cultural heritage of Professor A.M. Mirek. As the 2021 Gold Medalist for the Keyboard Prize at the Royal Over-Seas League (ROSL) Annual Music Competition, Ryan Corbett presented a Recital in London, England on November 1st, to a capacity audience. Born in Glasgow, Ryan Corbett is a classical accordionist who has been described as “one of Scotland’s most exciting young musicians” (The Scotsman). A graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland studying with Djordje Gajic, Ryan is a prize winner of numerous national and International competitions. Showcasing his exceptional technical command combined with rich musicianship and dynamic stagecraft, Ryan performed Prelude and Fugue in a minor (BWV 543) by Bach; Sonatas in F Major (K107) and D Major (K97) by Scarlatti; Sonata Op. 13 by Nagaev; Romance in F minor, Op. 5 by Tchaikovsky; Etude on the theme Chiquillin de Bachin by Piazzolla by Angelis and Caprice Espagnol, Op. 37 by Moszkowski. ROSL takes pride in helping launch the careers of their young musicians by offering many performance opportunities at major venues such as Wigmore Hall in London and has established relationships with many leading national and overseas music Festivals.  Joseph Natoli has announced that his new project, JANPress Master Classes, will commence with virtual Zoom sessions on November 7th, 2022 at 7pm EST. Each session will be 90 minutes and will occur twice a month. The second session will be held on November 21st, 2022 and continue accordingly on the first and third Monday of each month. The Master Classes will have a very diverse and detailed curriculum, with each session doing deep dive studies on various topics, followed by applied knowledge assignments. Additionally, there will be focus on subject matter that the subscribers specifically want to cover for personal musical growth while using planned and requested curriculum materials to benefit everyone. JANPress Master Classes won't be specializing in just one area of musical interest. A wide variety of topics will be presented, and this will be as close to a college course in a music degree program as possible, yet presented in a relaxed fashion at each attendee's level and speed for the most efficient and complete knowledge share. Each session will be amplified and enhanced by an assignment that follows our LEARN acronym (which stands for Listen, Experiment, Apply, Repeat, Normalize). The topics in each session aim to greatly enhance your musical understanding on widely diverse subjects including all aspects of performance, theory, chord progressions, composition, arranging, ensemble performing, recording, music notation, music & accordion history, music technology and much more.  The 2022 Polka Hall of Fame Awards Show will pay tribute to well-known polka achievers with three days of dancing and a gala, big-band stage show at the Holiday Inn Cleveland South in Independence, Ohio, USA from November 25th to 27th, 2022.Hosted by the National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame (the country’s only polka museum), the Awards Show is the highlight of the 58th Thanksgiving Polka Weekend. The Polka Music Awards spectacular is a grand salute to the newest names entering the Polka Hall of Fame. Lifetime achievers are bandleader Joe Kusar, musicians Bill Srnick Sr. and Rudy Kershishnik, plus the Penn Ohio Polka Pals social group. The Board of Trustees adds six names to the Polka Hall of Fame Honor Roll, Bill Bevec, Al Hreno, Eddie Korosa Jr., Bill Srnick Jr., and Chris and Gary Byndas. Two beloved All-Time Cleveland-Style Hits were also chosen by Polka Hall of Fame members. “The Little Café Waltz” and “Smile, Sweetheart, Smile” were early recordings by the late Cleveland bandleaders, Johnny Pecon and Frank Yankovic, America’s Polka King. The weekend is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture. Enjoy three days of music and dancing with top Cleveland-Style and Slovenian polka bands and performers. Featured entertainers include include Grammy-winners Walter Ostanek and Joey Miskulin, plus Hall of Famers Del Sinchak and Jeff and John Pecon, along with Garrett Tatano, Bob Zolka, Klancnik and Friends, and Linda Lee Brown.
