Ehrungen in Castelfidardo: Gorni Kramer und Richard Galliano – Italienby Holda Paoletti-Kampl |
Als Zeichen für Qualität, Tradition und des Akkordeons, haben das Internationale Akkordeon-Museum und die Stadt Castelfidardo einen musikalischen Abend dem große Komponisten, Akkordeonisten und Dirigenten Gorni Kramer gewidmet.. Die Veranstaltung findet am Freitag, den 11. Dezember im Theater Astra in Castelfidardo statt und beginnt um 21.Uhr. Während des Abends wird dem französischen Akkordeonisten Richard Galliano die Ehrenbügschaft der Stadt Castelfidardo verliehen. Er ist der erste Ausländer, dem diese Ehre zuteil wird. Zwei große Namen - zwei großen Künstler Meistern – eine Klasse für sich, aber man will sich an den außergewöhnlichen Charakter Gorni Kramers erinnern. Er schaffte es, das Akkordeon auf eine bisher nie gekannte Popularität in Fernsehen, Radio sowie musikalischen Aufführungen in Theatern auf der ganzen Welt zu bringen. Während des Abends wird eine Video-Präsentation dem Publikum seine denkwürdigen Aufführungen und sein raffinierter und vielfältiger Interpretationsvermögen, das heute noch relevant ist, übermittelt. Seine phantastische und glänzende Karriere in der Geschichte der populären Musik war und ist einzigartig. Der Höhepunkt der Zeremonie, geleitet von Beniamino Bugiolacchi ist die Übergabe eines exklusiven Pergamentes, sowie die Ehrenbürgschaft and den französischen Künstler Richard Galliano, der, in höchster und edelster Form das Akkordeon "Made in Castelfidardo" in aller Welt repräsentiert. Ein Privileg und besondere Ehre für die Stadt Castelfidardo ist, ein Hommage Gallianos an Gorni Kramer in Anwesenheit seiner zweien Töchter. Die "Paolo Soprani" Auszeichnung, des Unternehmens SUONI srl wird im Einvernehmen mit dem Museum an die Region Marche vergeben. Seit 2007 hat die Region das Akkordeon in all seinen Werbeaktivitäten im Ausland aufgenommen (zum Beispiel in ihrer letzten Ausstellung in Brasilien), als ein Produkt der Region und als Symbol dieser Kultur, Arbeit und Wirtschaft, des Menschen und seines kreativen Genies als wichtigste Protagonisten. Weiters wird am gleichen Abend an den 25. Jahrestag der offiziellen Integration des Akkordeon am Konservatorium in Pesaro erinnert. Maestro Sergio Scappini erhält eine Auszeichnung, der erste italienische Lehrer gewesen zu sein, der Unterricht auf diesem Instrument am 27. November 1984 gab. Er wird sowohl auf elektronischen und klassischen Akkordeons einen Beitrag leisten gefolgt vom wunderbaren "Fisorchestra Marche. Die Sponsoren der Veranstaltung sind: die Region Marchen, Provinz Ancona, Banca di Credito Cooperativo Recanati e Colmurano, Stadt Castelfidardo. Für die Veranstaltung zeichnet das Internationalen Akkordeon-Museum in Zusammenarbeit und die Pro-Loco von Castelfidardo; Beniamino Bugiolacchi ist für die historischen Elemente verantwortlich. |

Miran Vaupotic performed 'Piazzolla-Gala' with Moscow State Symphony, Moscow – Russiaby Rob Howard |
On November 23rd, in a totally full Moscow's Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Miran Vaupotic performed a gala concert of Piazzolla's music named 'Piazzolla-Gala' with the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra. The conductor was Grant Llewellyn, Musical Director of the North Carolina Symphony in the USA. The event was a great success, with standing ovations and several encores. Croatian soloist and conductor Miran Vaupotic played bandoneon and bayan with tremendous inspiration and sensibility, presenting a marathon performance, which included Piazzolla's ‘Concierto de Nacar’, ‘Aconcagua’, ‘Adios Nonino’, and ‘Four Seasons in Buenos Aires’. The concert also featured pianist Nina Kogan, daughter of famous violinist Leonid Kogan, and guitarist Frane Verbanac, from Croatia, both in ‘Concierto de Nacar for 9 tangueros’ and with the symphony orchestra. The nominees have just been announced for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards. The ‘Best Polka Album’ award has been dropped, but there are still plenty of accordions among the ‘Best Cajun/Zydeco Album’ category is full of them: ‘Alligator Purse’, by Beausoleil Avec Michael Doucet ‘Lay Your Burden Down’, by Buckwheat Zydeco ‘Stripped Down’, by The Magnolia Sisters ‘Live At 2009 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival’, by the Pine Leaf Boys ‘L’Ésprit Créole’, by Cedric Watson et Bijou Créole The accordion is also well represented in the ‘Best Norteño Album’ category: ‘Dejame Soñar’, by Cumbre Norteña ‘El Niño De Oro’, by El Compa Chuy ‘Pese A Quien Le Pese’, by Los Rieleros Del Norte ‘Tu Noche Con…Los Tigres Del Norte’, by Los Tigres Del Norte ‘Soy Todo Tuyo’, by Los Tucanes De Tijuana There are also a handful of accordionists scattered through other categories. ‘Los Texmaniacs’ and ‘Sunny Sauceda’ are both vying for ‘Best Tejano Album’, Weird Al Yankovic is up for ‘Best Comedy Album’, and David Hidalgo’s accordion was a key ingredient in Bob Dylan’s ‘Together Through Life’, nominated for ‘Best Americana Album’. Eddy Jay in ‘Brief Encounter’, New York – USAby Rob Howard |
British accordionist Eddy Jay performs in a New York Premiere of Noel Coward’s ‘Brief Encounter’, directed by Emma Rice, at St Ann’s Warehouse, 38 Water Street,Brooklyn, NY 11201. The play runs from December 2nd until January 3rd, and includes matinee performances on Saturdays. The show is an adaptation of the famous 1946 film of the same name, directed by David Lean, and based on ‘Still Life’, a Noël Coward one-act first seen a decade earlier. Director Emma Rice has returned to Coward’s original play to rediscover elements that were discarded from the legendary film script. Eddy Jay, a graduate of the Yehudi Menuhin award winning ‘Live Music Now’ scheme, is a highly versatile accordionist whose accomplishments include concert and theatre performances, playing for dancing, teaching, leading workshops, composing, demonstrating the Roland V-Accordion range, films, and radio and TV commercials. His styles encompass everything from Italian, Bluegrass, Argentinean Tango, jazz, French musette, rock, pop, funk, Serbian music, Irish session tunes, Big Band Swing, German polkas and Klezmer to Eastern European Czardas. Accordionists Rob Howard and John Jones will be playing war songs, carols and Christmas songs in the Stockport Air Raid Shelters on December 7th, 10th and 14th, from 8pm. On December 22nd 1940 the Blitz on Greater Manchester began by the German Luftwaffe, and thousands poured into the safety of the Air Raid Shelters. Air Raids continued nightly until May 1941, and accordionists were prominent amongst the entertainers who played music to lift the spirits of those sheltering from the bombing. A performance of ‘Belshazzar’s Feast’ takes place on Sunday December 13th, 8pm, at Wiltshire Music Centre, Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, given by Paul Hutchinson - accordion, and Paul Sartin - oboe, violins and vocals. ‘Belshazzar's Feast’ is a very entertaining mixture of traditional folk music, classical, jazz, pop and music hall, plus a lot of wry humour. Paul Hutchinson, best known as a member of the band ‘Hoover the Dog’, and Paul Sartin are folk musicians who have wowed audiences across the UK and beyond. |

Konzert am 12.12.09 Musik mit Biss Musik mit Biss Am Samstag ist es wieder soweit. Genau am Samstag 12.12.09 beißen wir zu. Damit wir nicht auf den Zahnfleisch gehen, dafür hat uns Roland Schaaf gut vorbereitet. Bissig aber schön sind die Lieder. Ob ein Medley von Brian Adams oder von Herbert Grönemeyer, es ist für jeden was dabei. Sogar ein Musettewalzer hat sich in der Programm geschlichen. Die lichtscheuen Vampire schweben durch die Halle. Zur Verlosung kommen wertvolle Gutscheine und hochwertige Sachpreise. Mit dabei ein Kaffeeautomat. Damit Ihre Zähne auch was zu knabbern haben dafür sorgt sich Hansi und das Küchenteam. Na dann sehen wir uns am Samstag. Die beheizte Halle öffnet um 10:00 Uhr. Familiennachmittag am Sonntag 13.12.2009 ab 14:30 Uhr Familiennachmittag ab 14:30 Uhr Sie haben geprobt, sie haben geschwitzt und sie haben Lust. Lust ihre Lieder zu präsentieren. Alle Jugendspieler und auch die Früherziehung mit Melodika zeigen am Sonntag, den 13.12.09 ihr Können. Die ehrenamtlichen Ausbilder und die über 40 Kinder sind ganz heiß. Heiß und scharf wie eine Chilischote. Darum hat sich das Jugendorchester auch den Namen: Red Hot Chili QUETSCHER ausgedacht. Dann hoffen, wir dass nichts anbrennt. Es gibt auch Kaffee und Kuchen. Der Nikolaus schaut ebenfalls vorbei. Bei kostenlosem Eintritt sorgt eine Kindertombola für leuchtende Augen. Die Red Hot Chili QUETSCHER Wer ist denn das? Das Jugendorchester hat sich in einer Urabstimmung für diesen Namen entschieden. Es waren einige abartige Vorschläge dabei. "Dont call us Schnitzel" war wohl der Härteste. Nun sind es also die Red Hot Chili Quetscher -Bei uns geht es heiß her- Mal sehen wie heiß es am Sonntag, den 13. 12.2009 zugeht.
