 23 февраля в рамках X международного фестиваля баянной музыки «Виват, Баян!» на сцене Самарской филармонии прошел концерт «Карнавал Аккордеона». В День защитника Отечества перед самарцами выступили ведущие аккордеонисты России: Александр Поелуев (Ростов-на-Дону),Сергей Осокин (Москва), Алексей Шалыгин (Ростов-на-Дону) и наш земляк Александр Туболец со своим ансамблем.В программе Александра Поелуева прозвучали произведения классических композиторов в виртуозной обработке и оригинальные композиции, написанные специально для аккордеона. Блюзовые баллады и джазовые мировые хиты исполнил Серей Осокин, Русские, украинские и неаполитанские народные песни в легкой инструментальной обработке, а также вальсы, фокстроты и танго прозвучали в исполнении Александра Тубольца и его ансамбля. Известными мелодиями и песнями в модном сегодня стиле техно-поп в зажигательной танцевальной современной аранжировке порадовал зрителей Алексей Шалыгин. В конце программы все четыре музыканта подарили зрителям несколько совместных эстрадных номеров. Ведущим концерта по традиции стал Президент, художественный руководитель и создатель фестиваля «Виват, Баян!» известный самарский баянист Сергей Войтенко. «Карнавал аккордеона» стал своеобразным подарком ко Дню защитника Отечества. Аккордеон, баян, гармонь – верные спутники русского воина на протяжении последнего столетия. В Первую мировую войну, в Великую Отечественную войну эти музыкальные инструменты поддерживали в русской армии боевой дух, скорбели о павших в боях товарищах, давали надежду воспевали победы. По давней традиции фестиваля концерт «Карнавал Аккордеона» смогли посетить не только самарские зрители. 22 февраля аккордеон звучал в Отрадном, 24 февраля – в Тольятти и Кинеле, а 26 февраля в Искалах. | Мероприятие ‘The Big Squeeze’пройдет в пятницу 6 апреля в концертном зале Pick-Staiger Concert Hall, Northwestern University, Эванстон, Иллинойс.  Международная Конфедерация Аккордеонистов (CIA) 23-26 февраля провела свою 127 Генеральную Ассамблею Делегатов в Мисбахе, Германия, по приглашению одного из членов-основателей CIA немецкой организации Deutscher Harmonika-Verband e.V. (DHV).Конгресс проходил одновременно с региональным конкурсом Баварии – DHV German National Accordion Music Prize, победители которого получают право на участие в Немецком национальном чемпионате. Мероприятие началось с приветственного фуршета с шампанским и продолжилось концертом в театре Bauerntheater в соседнем городе Шлирзе. В концерте принял участие баварский аккордеонный оркестр Landesjugend-Akkordeonorchester. Дририжеры - Стефан Фусседер (Stefan Fusseder) и Хеди Старк –Фусснеггер (Hedy Stark-Fussnegger). CIA Награды: Каждый год CIA может присудить до двух наград (За заслуги) и до четырех почетных званий Honored Friend of the Accordion Awards (Почетный Друг аккордеона). В этом году были приняты решения о награждении следующих персон: CIA Merit Awards – Матти Рантанен (Финляндия) CIA Honored Friend of the Accordion Awards – Кен Фарран (Великобритания) Новые технологии: С этого года CIA отменит необходимость предоставления печатных нот членам жюри конкурс «Кубок мира». Кроме того, для категории Masters Coupe Mondiale кандидатам будет предложено отправить файл с нотами исполняемых произведений в формате Acrobat PDF для их просмотра членами жюри на Ipad и других подобных устройствах, предоставляемых CIA. Этот новый формат позволит устранить необходимость для участников привозить дополнительных экземпляры нот, а также даст всем судьям возможность одновременного просмотра нот исполняемых произведений в цифровом формате. Этот способ копирования нот более экологичен, к тому же участнику не придется заботиться о распространении своих нот перед выступлением, что позволит ему сосредоточиться исключительно на исполнении. | The Accordions Worldwide news for February 27th 1998 included a report that Owen Murray had performed at a concert in Glasgow despite having injured his left arm, demonstrating that “The show must go on”! Owen Murray is Professor of Accordion at the Royal Academy of Music, London. OWEN MURRAY PLAYS INJURED – SCOTLAND The Herald, UK recently featured an article on Owen Murray's accordion performance at Hutchesons' Hall, Glasgow. Owen Murray is recognised as the leading figure in establishing the accordion as a legitimate classical instrument in the UK, both through his virtuoso performances and in his unique teaching position at the Royal Academy of Music. A heavily bandaged left hand necessitated by an elbow injury led him to change his scheduled programme, omitting Bach and Mozart in favour of two brief sonatas by Scarlatti, and a suite of miniatures from Russia which had a distinct folk flavour. Murray's command of the accordion was consistently impressive. He gave the same recital at Jordanhill Campus the next day, followed by a public workshop and demonstration. |

Full report: Dargaville2011 Housed at the Dargaville Museum (New Zealand) is the historical accordion display titled 'Accordion Gems - A Master Collection of Accordions Through Time'. Kevin Friedrich is curating a further display at the Dargaville Museum to celebrate 40 years of the New Zealand Accordion Association (NZAA). For the 5th time, the concert ‘Music with Kevin Friedrich and Friends’ will be held at the Lighthouse Function Center. The NZAA is running a bus from Auckland to the opening of the display and to the concert. Kevin Friedrich, Lionel Reekie and Maurice Jones will be performing plus well known Dargaville performers. This is also the 50th Birthday year for Kevin who will be receiving a Presentation from the NZAA of his Lifetime Achievement Award. The name of the display, 'Wakefield to Masefield' came from an excerpt from The History of the Accordion in New Zealand by Wallace Liggett. A reference does exist in the journal of Edward Jerningham Wakefield, one of the earliest English colonists, and his entry from the 24th of September 1839 contains an amusing reference to his use of an accordion. "One named Te Kaera diverted us much by....bringing a long pointed spear within inches of our bodies: then retreating with a roar of laughter every time he saw us shrink from the thrust............I repaid him his surprise the first day that he came on board. I had got an accordion under a large cloak, and kept time to its notes with my mouth, so as to deceive him and twenty other natives into the idea that I was uttering the various sounds.” This is the first documented playing of an accordion in New Zealand and the Museum Display takes its name from the Wakefield performance to Grayson Masefield winning the Coupe Mondiale World Championship in New Zealand in 2009. |

  The annual Manchester Irish Festival takes place from March 2nd to 18th, and includes a wide range of Irish-themed concerts, dances, open air market, cultural events, and street parade.
