Renzo Ruggieri With Touring Van Gogh and Gauguin Exhibition – Italyby Holda Paoletti-Kampl |
 L’accordéoniste Rnezo Ruggieri a récemment fait une tournée en Italie, voyageant avec une exposition d’œuvres de Van Gogh et de Gauguin, passant à Vérone, Venise, Turin, Milan, Bologne… La tournée s’est terminée à Gênes, où l’exposition restera jusqu’en avril 2012. Environ 150 œuvres sont exposées, telles que « Le Semeur » et « Autoportrait » de Van Gogh, ou « D'où venons-nous? Que sommes-nous? Où allons-nous? » de Gauguin. Renzo jouait avec l’Orchestre de Dante Aligheri, de Ravenna, avec Piero Salvatori (violoncelle), Mauro Martello (flute), Angelica Leo (actrice), Gilberto Colla (acteur) and Sandro Buzzatti (acteur).  L’entreprise Hohner, sise à Trossingen, Allemagne, a publié son rapport de l’Assemblée Générale 2011. 2011Hohner_enLe rapport financier du groupe Hohner pour l’année fiscale 2010/2011 montre que les ventes ont augmenté de 10.2%, passant de 58 millions d’Euros à 63.9 millions d’Euros. Le bénéfice est quant à lui passé de 0.8 millions à 1.5 millions d’Euros. Hohner a été fondé en 1857 par Matthias Hohner. C’était à cette époque une manufacture d’harmonica. XXVII Festival International d’Accordéon, St Petersbourg – Russieby Nadia Guseva |

 Le XXVII Festival International d’Accordion a eu lieu à St Petersbourg du 4 au 6 novembre. Le Directeur artistique de ce festival annuel est Alexander Dmitriev, qui choisit un thème spécial chaque année. Cette année, c’était le jeu en duo. Le Duo Paris-Moscou, avec Roman Jbanov et Dominique Emorine, ont donné un concert le premier jour du festival. Leur jeu, et leur technique ont captivé le public, qui était charmé par l’interprétation profonde des pièces écrites par Franck Angelis et par l’éclat des musiques russes composées par Semionov, Novikov et Shalaev. Deux duos étaient au programme le second jour. Dans la première partie du concert, le public a été très impressioné par « Una Sinistra », deux accordéonistes de Moscou – Yulia Amerikova et Alexander Selivanov. La transcription de la pièce « Libertin » de Motion Trio, avec son rythme plein d’énergie, fut la pièce préférée du public. La deuxième partie du concert était très spéciale, puisqu’il s’agissait du concert de jubilée d’Alexander Dmitriev, qui fêtait son 60ème anniversaire cette année. Dès les premières notes, il a emmené le public dans une performance étonnante, composées de différents styles de musique, pleine d’émotion et de frissons. La suite du concert était assurée par son fils Vitali Dmitriev en solo. La fin du concert était également magnifique : la performance dynamique du duo Alexander Dmitriev et de son fils Vitali a laissé un merveilleuse impression sur le public, qui ne voulait pas laisser les musiciens quitter la scène. Le concert de Gala comprenait les interprètes des concerts des jours précédents, mais également de nombreux jeunes musiciens qui ont gagné des prix lors de prestigieuses compétitions internationales. Parmi eux, on comptait Vitaly Pugachev, Alexander Kolomiytsev, Vladislav Ilyn, et d’autres étudiants des collèges musicaux de Saint-Petersbourg, ainsi que du Conservatoire Rimsky Korsakov. Ils ont présenté un très haut niveau technique dans leur programme. A la fin du concert, chaque musicien est revenue sur scène, afin que le public puisse applaudie une dernière fois tous les participants de ce XXVIIème Festival International d’Accordéon de Saint Petersbourg 2011. | The Viennese Accordion Ensemble, directed by Werner Weibert, celebrated its annual festival concert in the newly opened concert hall of Perchtoldsdorf Castle, near Vienna, on Friday, November 11th. Their program included works by Händel, Mozart, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Liszt, Strauß and Piazzolla. The members of the well known group are: Ladies: Sylvia Zobek, Margarete Gebauer and Elisabeth Weibert Gentlemen: Werner Weibert, Guenther Zobek, Walter Dietz, Herbert Scheibenreif and Anton Barinka This year, percussionist Bernhard Winkler was the special attraction of the evening by performing Khatchaturian’s famous ‘Sabre Dance’ and ‘Circus Renz’ with the Viennese Accordion Ensemble. As usual, the concert was closed with some famous songs like ‘Lady Be Good’, ‘Drunken Sailor’, and ‘Java Jive’, which were well acclaimed by the public.  The accomplished Italian accordionist Debora Sbarra has released ‘Indios’, a new CD featuring ‘variety’ music. The title is probably derived from the first track, ‘Apache’, which was the first hit record for The Shadows back in 1960.The tracks include: Apache, Nabbini, Alabama, Czardas (Monti), Gio Mazurka, Cumbia Do Re, La Spizzicata, Pablito, Para Ti, Una Fisa per Vienna, Fascination, Libertango.  Yuval Avital, an Israeli composer living in Milan, has composed ‘Horror vacui’, for accordion septet, performed by an ensemble of Italian accordionists led by virtuoso Sergio Scappini. This recording took place at the RomaEuropa Festival, Teatro Palladium, Rome, on November 18th. ‘Horror vacui’ explores stillness and movement in sound throughout sonic textures combined rhythms and repeating fragments. The composition, dedicated to foremost North American composer and accordionist Pauline Oliveros, is a journey of listening to a continuous musical landscape, which (as in its title) never stops but always changes. | The Hohner-Handharmonika-Club Dresden-Leuben, Germany, celebrated 60 years of music making in November 1997, as reported in the Accordions Worldwide news for December 5th 1997. The history of this long established accordion orchestra includes surviving the exceptionally severe allied bombing raids of February 1945 which destroyed all their instruments, music and equipment. ACCORDION ORCHESTRA DRESDEN CELEBRATES 60th ANNIVERSARY - GERMANY Contributed by Andrea Rautenberg 60 years ago on November 13th 1937, the Hohner-Handharmonika-Club Dresden-Leuben had its first performance. To mark this occasion the Dresdner Akkordeonorchester e.V. organised a gala concert in the Congress Hall of the Hygienemuseum Dresden, performing to nearly 600 guests. With a program of mainly classic original accordion compositions, the ensemble, under the artistic direction of Anita Heinze (President of the Deutscher Harmonikaverband Sachsen) showed their high technical level with an enthusiastic performance. The thrilled audience demanded three encores and rewarded the orchestra with long applause and many, many flowers. To further celebrate this occasion the orchestra has edited a commemorative publication and arranged an exhibition about the history of the ensemble. Among the more than thirty musicians are many young people. Next year the orchestra will participate in the International Accordion Festival Insbruck again, where they have already twice reached ‘Excellent’ (1992 and 1995). |

Their program includes compositions by Buxtehude, Couperin, Stravinsky, Schostakovich, Barber, and other classic composers from the 17th to the 20th Century, arranged for accordion duo by Yulia Amerikova. This concert follows very successful recent concerts at the Trophée Mondial in Pineto, the Castelfidardo Festival, the Coupe Mondiale in Shanghai and the 27th Festival of Music for Accordion, St Petersburg, Russia.  Accordion, harmonica and tarantella dance workshops take place on December 2nd to 4th at Fürsteneck Castle, situated in central Germany between Fulda and Bad Hersfled.Dutch diatonic button accordionist Servais Haanen leads the accordion workshops, which end with a concert.  Leading concert accordionist Dr William Schimmel performs ‘Kammermusik No 1’, by Paul Hindemith, with the Orpheus Chamber Ensemble on December 3rd, 7pm, at the Stern Auditorium, Carnegie Hall, New York.On December 5th, 7.30pm, Dr Schimmel will perform in a concert version of ‘She Loves Me’ (Harnick and Bock) at The Stephen Sondheim Theater, Manhattan, sponsored by the Roundabout Theater Company. The concert will be conducted by Paul Gemignani.  TOEAC Accordion Duo, from the Netherlands, end the year with some performances in China:December 9th - Oriental Art Center, Shanghai December 11th - Dalian Development Area Grand Theatre December 15th - National Centre for the Performing Arts, Beijing December 16th, 6.40pm – concert, followed by Gala Dinner, Grace Hotel, Beijing The TOEAC accordion duo are Renée Bekkers and Pieternel Berkers. Both began accordion classes at the age of nine at the school of music in Gemert, Netherlands. Their accomplishments include many competition successes, including 1st prize at the 'Premio Internazionale di Fisarmonica' in Castelfidardo, Italy in 2007. They are currently studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. The organiser of this long running and well supported concert is the well-known fund raising accordionist John Jones, who has to date raised over £200,000 playing for various charities.  Uakti a été créé en 1978. Son nom est tiré d’une légende amazonienne : Uakti était une énorme créature avec des trous sur tout le corps. Lorsqu’il courait en forêt, le vent qui passait à travers son corps émettait des sons fascinants. A l’instar de cette créature, Uakti produit de merveilleux sons. Les musiciens fabriquent eux-mêmes leurs instruments à partir de tuyaux, pierres, métaux, verre, caoutchouc et même de l’eau.Jeune musicien belge, Tuur Florizoone débute très tôt l’étude du piano classique et des percussions. A 17 ans, il part au Brésil pendant un an, emportant avec lui un accordéon et découvre une nouvelle façon d’utiliser cet instrument très populaire là-bas. Tuur y joue dans de nombreux groupes et suit des ateliers avec, entre autres, Naná Vasconcelos, Gilberto Gil et Mestre Ambrosio. |
