‘1,2,3 Musette’ Volume 2 DVD coverby Harley Jones |
1,2,3 Musette! Volumen 2 consiste en los mejores momentos del programa de TV 1,2,3 Musette!, el cual es el único programa semanal emitido en Francia y Bélgica dedicado exclusivamente a la música musette para acordeón. Este DVD es la continuación del éxito de ventas que representó el primer volumen del mismo. La lista de acordeonistas que participan en el DVD representa una cuidada selección de los mayores representantes del estilo musette , desde las nuevas generaciones a artistas ya consolidados. El presentador en el DVD es Pierre Yves Lombard y Jérôme Richard, acompañado de estrellas como: Jérémie Buirette, Phil Bouvier, Benoit Chabod, Grayson Masefield, Mickäel Richard, Mickaël Vigneau y muchos más. El conjunto que acompaña a los acordeonistas es la Orquesta Jérôme Richard, y está formado por Vincent Lemaire (batería), Antonin Martineau (Bajo eléctrico), y Jérôme Bouteleux o Dany Dayn (piano / teclados). Jérôme Richard, quién fue alumno de Frédéric Deschamps, fue ganador del Trofeo y la Copa Mundial en la categoría clasica y varieté de ambas competiciones, y de hecho los participantes en el programa 1,2,3 Musette, son en casi todos los casos alumnos de Deschamps que han sido ganadores del Trofeo y la Copa Mundial. Renzo Ruggieri de gira con una exposición de Van Gogh y Gauguin (Italia)by Holda Paoletti-Kampl |
El acordeonista Renzo Ruggieri recientemente estuvo de gira por Italia viajando con una exposición de pinturas de Van Gogh y Gauguin, visitando Verona, Venecia, Turin, Milan, Bolonia y otros lugares. La gira finalizó en Genoa, donde la exposición permanecerá hasta abril del 2012. Entre las 150 pinturas que se exponen se encuentran cuadros tan famosos como El sembrador o Autorretrato de Van Gogh; y De dónde venimos, a dónde vamos, de Gauguin. Renzo toca con la Orquesta Dante Aligheri, de Ravenna, compuesta por Piero Salvatori (cello), Mauro Martello (flute), Angélica Leo (actriz), Gliberto Colla (actor), y Sandro Buzzatti (actor). La compañia Hohner (Trossingen, Alemania) ha dado a conocer el informe de la Junta General de Accionistas 2011. 2011Hohner_en El informe financiero del Grupo Hohner para el año fiscal 2010/2011 afirma que las ventas se han incrementado en 10.2 %, de 58 millones a 63.9 millones de € y el beneficio a aumentado de 0.8 millones a 1.5 millones de €. Hohner fue fundada en 1857 por Mathias Hohner y de vender únicamente armónicas pasó a convertirse en una de las más importantes y prestigiosas fábricas de acordeones a nivel mundial. XXVII FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE ACORDEÓN (SAN PETERSBURGO, RUSIA)by Nadia Guseva |
El XXVII Festival Internacional de Acordeón se llevó a cabo en San Petersburgo del 4 al 6 de noviembre. El director artístico de este festival anual es Alexander Dmitriev, el cual escoge un tema especial en torno al cual gira todo el festival cada daño. Esta vez el tema fue los dúos de acordeón. El dúo “París-Moscú”, formado por Roman Jbanov y Dominique Emorine, ofrecieron un concierto el primer día del festival. Su supremacía técnica y gran teatralidad quedaron patentes en sus interpretaciones de piezas escritas por Franck Angelis, Viatcheslav Semionov, Novikiv y Shalaev. El segundo día actuaron dos dúos diferentes. En la primera parte del concierto la audiencia quedó muy impresionada con la música del dúo “Una Sinistra” (Moscú) formado por Yulia Amerikova y Alexander Selivanov. A la audiencia le gustó especialmente su transcripción del tema de Motion Trio “Libertin’ whit its”. La segunda parte del concierto corrió a cuenta de Alexander Dmitriev, quien recientemente ha cumplido 60 años. Desde las primeras notas Dmitriev supo capturar al público con su variado repertorio y gran ejecución. La interpretación continuó con la actuación del Vitali Dmitriev (hijo de Alexander) y la parte final del concierto no fue menos magnífica, ya que la actuación a dúo de Alexander y Vitali causó tanto agrado entre el público que apenas dejaron salir al dúo del escenario por causa de los continuados aplausos. El concierto de clausura incluyó no sólo a los artistas de los dos días anteriores si no también la actuación de varios jóvenes acordeonistas ganadores de diferentes premios internacionales en competiciones de acordeón. Entre ellos pudimos encontrar a Vitaly Pugachev, Alexander Kolomiytsev, Vladislav Ilyin y otros estudiantes del Conservatorio Rimsky-Korsakov así como de la escuela de música de San Petersburgo. Todos mostraron una gran capacidad musical y técnica. Al final del concierto cada artista subió nuevamente al escenario y recibieron así el aplauso final del entregado público. Viennese Accordion Chamber Ensemble Annual Concert – Austriaby Dr Herbert Scheibenreif Manager of Friedrich Lips Productions |
The Viennese Accordion Ensemble, directed by Werner Weibert, celebrated its annual festival concert in the newly opened concert hall of Perchtoldsdorf Castle, near Vienna, on Friday, November 11th. Their program included works by Händel, Mozart, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Liszt, Strauß and Piazzolla. The members of the well known group are: Ladies: Sylvia Zobek, Margarete Gebauer and Elisabeth Weibert Gentlemen: Werner Weibert, Guenther Zobek, Walter Dietz, Herbert Scheibenreif and Anton Barinka This year, percussionist Bernhard Winkler was the special attraction of the evening by performing Khatchaturian’s famous ‘Sabre Dance’ and ‘Circus Renz’ with the Viennese Accordion Ensemble. As usual, the concert was closed with some famous songs like ‘Lady Be Good’, ‘Drunken Sailor’, and ‘Java Jive’, which were well acclaimed by the public. The accomplished Italian accordionist Debora Sbarra has released ‘Indios’, a new CD featuring ‘variety’ music. The title is probably derived from the first track, ‘Apache’, which was the first hit record for The Shadows back in 1960. Yuval Avital, an Israeli composer living in Milan, has composed ‘Horror vacui’, for accordion septet, performed by an ensemble of Italian accordionists led by virtuoso Sergio Scappini. This recording took place at the RomaEuropa Festival, Teatro Palladium, Rome, on November 18th. ‘Horror vacui’ explores stillness and movement in sound throughout sonic textures combined rhythms and repeating fragments. The composition, dedicated to foremost North American composer and accordionist Pauline Oliveros, is a journey of listening to a continuous musical landscape, which (as in its title) never stops but always changes. 14 Years Ago’ – Dresden Orchestra’s Diamond Anniversaryby Rob Howard |
The Hohner-Handharmonika-Club Dresden-Leuben, Germany, celebrated 60 years of music making in November 1997, as reported in the Accordions Worldwide news for December 5th 1997. The history of this long established accordion orchestra includes surviving the exceptionally severe allied bombing raids of February 1945 which destroyed all their instruments, music and equipment. ACCORDION ORCHESTRA DRESDEN CELEBRATES 60th ANNIVERSARY - GERMANY Contributed by Andrea Rautenberg 60 years ago on November 13th 1937, the Hohner-Handharmonika-Club Dresden-Leuben had its first performance. To mark this occasion the Dresdner Akkordeonorchester e.V. organised a gala concert in the Congress Hall of the Hygienemuseum Dresden, performing to nearly 600 guests. With a program of mainly classic original accordion compositions, the ensemble, under the artistic direction of Anita Heinze (President of the Deutscher Harmonikaverband Sachsen) showed their high technical level with an enthusiastic performance. The thrilled audience demanded three encores and rewarded the orchestra with long applause and many, many flowers. To further celebrate this occasion the orchestra has edited a commemorative publication and arranged an exhibition about the history of the ensemble. Among the more than thirty musicians are many young people. Next year the orchestra will participate in the International Accordion Festival Insbruck again, where they have already twice reached ‘Excellent’ (1992 and 1995). |

The duo Una Sinistra - Yulia Amerikova (piano accordion) and Alexander Selivanov (button accordion) - perform in the prestigious Green Hall, Yauza Palace, Moscow, on December 9th, 7.30pm. Their program includes compositions by Buxtehude, Couperin, Stravinsky, Schostakovich, Barber, and other classic composers from the 17th to the 20th Century, arranged for accordion duo by Yulia Amerikova. This concert follows very successful recent concerts at the Trophée Mondial in Pineto, the Castelfidardo Festival, the Coupe Mondiale in Shanghai and the 27th Festival of Music for Accordion, St Petersburg, Russia. Accordion, harmonica and tarantella dance workshops take place on December 2nd to 4th at Fürsteneck Castle, situated in central Germany between Fulda and Bad Hersfled. Dutch diatonic button accordionist Servais Haanen leads the accordion workshops, which end with a concert. Leading concert accordionist Dr William Schimmel performs ‘Kammermusik No 1’, by Paul Hindemith, with the Orpheus Chamber Ensemble on December 3rd, 7pm, at the Stern Auditorium, Carnegie Hall, New York. On December 5th, 7.30pm, Dr Schimmel will perform in a concert version of ‘She Loves Me’ (Harnick and Bock) at The Stephen Sondheim Theater, Manhattan, sponsored by the Roundabout Theater Company. The concert will be conducted by Paul Gemignani. Dr William Schimmel will perform ‘Kammermusik No 1’ with the Orpheus Chamber Ensemble during their European tour of Germany, from December 6th to 12th, with concerts in Baden Baden, Cologne, Frankfurt and Dusseldorf. TOEAC Accordion Duo, from the Netherlands, end the year with some performances in China: December 9th - Oriental Art Center, Shanghai December 11th - Dalian Development Area Grand Theatre December 15th - National Centre for the Performing Arts, Beijing December 16th, 6.40pm – concert, followed by Gala Dinner, Grace Hotel, Beijing The TOEAC accordion duo are Renée Bekkers and Pieternel Berkers. Both began accordion classes at the age of nine at the school of music in Gemert, Netherlands. Their accomplishments include many competition successes, including 1st prize at the 'Premio Internazionale di Fisarmonica' in Castelfidardo, Italy in 2007. They are currently studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. The band Uakti, featuring accordionist accordionist Tuur Florizoone, perform at Kraankindersstraat 2, B-9000 Ghent, Belgium, on December 9th, 10pm. Tuur Florizoone is a popular Flanders accordionist. Jazz is only of the many types of music he performs. Tuur Florizoone is comfortable in pop as well as world music. In 2008, during the prestigious World Soundtrack Awards (Ghent) his passionate score of the Flemish movie Adnrijding in Moscow (directed by Christophe Van Rompdey) achieved international success. |
