 Accordionist Marco Lo Russo will give the first public Italian performances of his recent composition ‘Ave Maria’ on Wednesday December 6th at the Oratorio del Gonfalone, Rome, and on Friday December 8th, after the 11.30am Mass at the church of SS Conception in the Heroes Square, at 3.30pm in front of the statue of Our Lady at Largo Monsignor Giacomo d’Ardia, and at the end of the 6pm Mass in the cathedral St Francesco d’Assisi in the town of Civitavecchia. ‘Ave Maria’, was released on November 18th as a digital download single and as an MP3, containing two versions: vocal (Martina Mannozzi - soprano)/accordion/piano and instrumental – accordion and piano. This composition is dedicated to Pope Francis. Born in 1977, Marco Lo Russo graduated in classical accordion from the Conservatory of Music G. Rossini, Pesaro, Italy. He is an innovative musician, an international concert accordionist, composer, arranger, producer (Rouge Sound Production), and a Professor at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia, Rome.
