President Norman Seaton Speaks:
It gives me great pleasure to present the 2008 National Accordion Convention!
The "Call for Presenters" was very successful and it attracted presenters of all ages and from various areas throughout the United States. For the first time in our 21-year history, we have received proposals from groups that include participants of all ages. In fact, never have we had such a large group of younger musicians that will be in the spotlight as this 2008 convention.

The official annual business meeting is scheduled for noon on Thursday, March 13, 2008. Topics to be discussed include election of officials and related legal requirements and paperwork. The agends follows the procedures established in the bylaws of the Association.
Video Taping and Recording of Musicians and Conventioneers
By registering for the convention, all participants are
- Authorizing the media (TV, radio, newspapers, etc.) to interview and record the event
- Authorizing the National Accordion Association (NAA) to develop a recording (CD/DVD) that captures the feel of the convention. This recording may be used to gain national attention and as a fund raiser for promoting the accordion
- YouTube and related recordings
- Due to the popularity of such recordings, this style of marketing is very effective.
- Prior to distributing such recordings on the web, get permission from the performer(s)
- No one is authorized to distribute the recording (sell and/or give-away) for any other reason. Let the artists record and market their own material for fun and profit!
- Conventioneers and/or presenters artist will not be granted editorial rights to the recordings
