About The Central Texas Accordion Association
CTAA was organized in January, 1992, under the auspices of the National Accordion Association, which is based in Dallas, Texas. CTAA is devoted solely to encouraging and promoting accordion performance, instruction, understanding, and enjoyment. Visitors are most welcome at the meetings. You do not have to own or play an accordion to become a member.
As we enjoy our continued growth, we hope our members will share their talents, knowledge, and resources in order to build up CTAA and promote the accordion for all in Texas!
Currently there are approximately 60 members.
Date: Third Wednesday of each month, except for June and December
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Senior Activity Center, Corner of 29th Street and Lamar Street
Special Event: Every year in June, we present a “Free For All” variety program for the community, family, friends, and for all who enjoy the accordion.
Membership in the CTAA is $15.00 per year. Each member receives a monthly copy of our Newsletter and a copy of the member directory. Membership also entitles you to vote in our elections for officers and for updates to the by-laws, participate in the CTAA activities, and post your gig schedules and other pertinent advertising on our web site.
Our meetings offer the safe forum for those that are interested in accordion music, whether or not you play an instrument or just want to hang out and enjoy life through music with others. Attendance at regular meetings will introduce you to a wide variety of accordion styles and talent. You are invited to play and/or join in the jam sessions.
