Featured Program: HONKY TONKITIS
Honky Tonkitis brings back that honky tonk music your grandpa and daddy listened to when you were a kid and brings back the glory days of life spent plugging the jukebox. They have been playing live shows in the Wisconsin area since 2008. Along the way they’ve hit such big name venues as Wisconsin State Fair and Bastille Days, as well as your favorite watering holes such as Bay View Brew Haus and Kochanski's Concertina Beer Hall, to name just a few. ‘Our live shows have a reputation for being obnoxious, cantankerous, and confrontational, and that's just the audience!’
Members of the band: Johnny Maplewood (Vocals, Upright Bass); Chris Conrad (Electric/Baritone guitar); none other than our own Milwaukee Accordion Club Vice-President, Don Turner (Accordion); Tom Hanson (Fiddle); Kurt Weber (Drums).

Featured Program: THE EDDIE RODICK BAND
Eddie Rodick has been wowing audiences with his accordion playing for over 50 years. He knows how to turn polka fans into a frenzy.
Eddie’s first band in 1960, a trio, was called the Champagnes. On his return from U.S. Marine Corps duty in1969, Eddie teamed up with Bob Oblocki and his band. The band took top honors in the Polka Band of Tomorrow Contest. A year later, Eddie set out on his own. In the early 1970’s, Eddie started a band called ‘Eddie Rodick and the Goodtime Boys’ with Dan Wojtila, Don Wojtila, Dave Skrajner and Al Bambic. The group took the polka world by storm, recorded an album and appeared regularly on TV’s Polka Varieties Show. The band was together for eight years. Eddie formed a new band in the early 1980’s. The popularity of the band inspired four record albums. In the mid-1990’s, Eddie developed a new band and a dynamic sound to go with his high-driving style of playing. Kim Skovenski joined the band as the drummer, and Eddie Rodick III became a member of his dad’s band.
Eddie recorded three more albums, including ‘Polka Sweethearts’, which was voted the 2007 Recording of the Year. His band was named Band of the Year in 1990, 2002 and 2007, and had the Recording of the Year in 1990. Eddie has played throughout the United States, Spain, Netherlands, Canada and Mexico.
