JAZZ ACCORDIONIST RELEASES CD - BELGIUM

Contributed by Joeri De Jongh

Jazzband Trio "Rony Verbiest" celebrates its 4th anniversary with the launch of the group's debut CD " Ah boa joât ". The CD is mainly jazztinted including classic numbers and new songs, written by Rony, guitarist Hendrik Braeckman and bassist Mario Vermandel.

41 year old accordionist (Rony) has built a firm reputation as accompanist of famous Belgian artists like Johan Verminnen, Koen De Cauter and Les petits belges. He experiments with different music styles and emphasises this in his accordion music strongly as he believes that the instrument still suffers from the one-sided reputation of being suitable for corny tunes.

On January 27th Noton traveled to Los Angeles to join Montreal accordionist Serge Duschene and team Cavagnolo from France at the National Association of Music Merchants (NAAM) Convention. Performances and product demonstrations were offered nonstop to interested accordionists and dealers from around the world.

Email of the week

Hello,

I was browsing accordionists, Ireland, and noticed that my friend Sue Coppard is listed there. Her address is correctly listed as Wiltshire, but that is in ENGLAND, near Bristol.

I really rate your site; most professional, and very useful! Thanks.

Hugh Barwell

Hello Hugh,

Thank you for the nice comments about Accordions Worldwide! I apologise for the incorrect listing and will have it changed within the week.
