On the evening of October 15th at the Theater Astra in Castelfidardo, the MusicTech Digital Accordion Orchestra performed to a near capacity hall.

This orchestra was formed by ten accordionists, (players names above) each playing a MusicTech Music Maker Digital 50 accordion. The orchestra performed four songs," Piazzolla Adios ", " TrisTango" and "Accordionists in March" composed by orchestra director Giancarlo Caporilli, plus a medley of songs of George Gershwin arranged and adapted specifically for digital accordion by Giancarlo Caporilli.

After that, each member of the group then presented a solo piece with a different genre, so show off the ability of the digital accordion to perform many different types of music, from classic to swing to jazz, from rock to light, etc ... ... ..

For the Theater Astra concert, each Music Maker Digital 50 was plugged into a cable going to the mixer (one player to a channel). The bass sound for the whole orchestra was provided by the normal digital accordion bass.

Earlier in the day, the MusicTech Digital Orchestra performed at the Reality House (picture above) using a combination of 2 portable amplifiers, with 5 accordions plugged into the 5 channels of each amplifier. There is an equaliser on each channel of the amplifier for each accordion. The normal digital accordion bass provided bass for the whole orchestra.

Aesthetically the MusicTech digital accordion is a traditional accordion maintaining the traditional parameters; keyboards, bass mechanism and bellows, the last of which enables the performing accordionist to express his personal soul and sensitivity by means of the bellows dynamic control, able to respond like bellows, even when the bellows are fully open, due to the special sensor circuitry.

Technology has replaced the valves with solid-state contacts and the hand-made reeds are replaced with integrated Digitally Sampled Instrument Sounds featuring 25 various accordions such as Musette, Cassotto and another 25 traditional orchestral instruments; Strings, Violins, Choruses, Organs, Guitars, Brass etc.

MusicTech, with international experience of the needs of accordionists, has united human resources and the latest technology in the development of the Music Maker Digital 50 Accordion.

The professional accordionists of today’s musical world are now using it in the most amazing performances of many kinds of music. The audience at the Theater Astra showed great enthusiasm and consensus that they enjoyed this exhibition concert very much. The Music Maker Digital 50 is a truly innovative tool, and while the latest generation digital instrument will not totally replace the traditional accordion, the new generation digital instruments is very pleasing to audiences.

Congratulations to MusicTech on the success of this first orchestra concert.
