The internationally acclaimed Motion Trio, a dynamic ensemble of Polish accordionists, received multiple standing ovations for their sensational concert in Hof, Germany last weekend. Janusz Wojtarowicz, Pawel Baranek and Marcin Galazyn, who met while students at the Krakow (Poland) Academy of Music, have been performing as the Motion Trio for almost 10 years, and have worked with such diverse and great composers and artists as Krzysztof Penderecki to Bobby McFerrin. Performing between 60 - 90 concerts per year on stages from Carnegie Hall in New York to their upcoming concert at the Musikverein in Vienna, the Trio has attracted a worldwide following, with their compositions and performances inspiring musicians around the world. The Motion Trio were guests of Hofer Symphoniker Music School Accordion Program in Hof, Germany. They began their visit with an informative lecture to the students of the accordion class of Mr. Günther Zeilinger, talking about their work, their compositions and answering many questions from the interested and enthusiastic students.

After a reception at City Hall hosted by the Mayor of Hof, the Motion Trio took to the stage before some 800 guests. After an official welcome by Hof Symphoniker Director Mrs. Schrader, the Motion went of to present a spectacular concert, by memory, of pieces including their own original compositions to original works of other modern composers.

Each an accomplished accordionist in their own right, joining forces as the Motion Trio, their goal is to promote and raise awareness of the accordion, those that play it and those that compose for it, so that the accordion can enjoy popularity equal to other instruments and instrumentalists.

As the first of several encores, the Motion Trio was joined by seven other accordionists including Carolin and Stefanie Jeremias, Adrian Stieglitz, Johannes Dimmling, Christoph Plass, Julian Feulner and CIA President Kevin Friedrich.
