Going to lunch after morning rehearsal and sound checks on the day of the concert, at the Zeilinger house. The van is sponsored for the Hofer Symphoniker by the Hof Mercedes business.
George Hettman, regional DHV Director for Bavaria, Harley Jones director of Accordions Worldwide (www.accordions.com) and CIA PublicRelations Manager, Joan Sommers retired Prof. at UMKC University, Deputy Chairperson of the CIA Music Committee, Kevin Friedrich, CIA President, Günther Zeilinger, DHV delegate and director of Akkordeonorchester Hof.
Katrin Bohmand and Tabea Schulz opened the concert
with their 48 bass accordions.

This is one of two Hof accordion orchestras competing at the Innsbruck World Music Festival.

both with and separately from the orchestra.

Then Phil and Speedy performed a duet with backing track
that had the audience really enjoying their native French musette music.
 
...and finally the three virtuosos performed some trios which the
audience loved, showing their appreciation by giving the artists a standing ovation!
 
Some young pupils asked for their photo with the
French guest artists and their teacher.
 
Kevin Friedrich and Joan Sommers also joined
in the photo opportunity.
 
After the concert, we there was dinner and drinks with the older players. Joan and Harley sharing the good times and excellent hospitality.

With Hof located very close to the historical and famous accordion town of Klingenthal, the three representitives from the CIA took advantage of this wonderful opportunity to meet with the Klingenthal organizer Manfred Gabler (pictured left), organized through Günther Zeilinger.
