The chromatic
accordion has been extremely popular since its arrival in
Sweden, when it was integrated into folk music by accordionists.
One of the stars of the chromatic accordion was Eric Gylling,
born in the early 1900's. In 1945, he founded the Pacific
Accordion Manufacturing Company while working as a concert
accordionist. He died in 1954.
Lars
Ek, a student of Pietro Frosini, is influenced by the novelty
style accordionists of the 1930s and 40s, but plays numerous
musical styles.
