I love listening to Zubitsky's recordings. His music and performance are so incredibly emotionally and spiritually fulfilling, and I cannot help but admire his exceptional musical ability as a composer as well as a performer.

Vladimir Zubitsky has been blessed with a raw, vigorous talent.

On this recording, Zubitsky presents Russian and Ukrainian folk music, as well as his own compositions based on traditional Ukrainian folk themes, instruments, and singing. Part of the recording is Zubitsky's pieces purely for Ukrainian folk orchestra - music constantly involving, and profoundly moving. Another part is Russian pieces for balalaika and accordion, and accordion solo, pieces of rare beauty and depth, performed with great sensibility. Thematically the whole recording follows the same line, and is a unique look at the Russian and Ukrainian folk music.

A gem of a recording!
