Tatjana Bulava (born 1964) began
playing the button accordion at age of 8. In 1990 she graduated
from the Ukrainian National Musical Academy, Kiev. In 1992 Tatjana
moved to Hannover, Germany and continued her education with Professor
Elzbeth Mozer. Tatjana has taken part in many international accordion
competitions including Kopenhagen 1996, Castelfidardo
1994 and Baden-Baden 1994.
The performance style of Tatjana is very well
known to me as Tatjana and I were studying at the same time
at the Ukrainian National Musical Academy. Tatjana is an excellent
musician with a very refined taste; this CD proves just that.
Opening her program with Bach and Scarlatti,
these baroque pieces are performed with refined sound and touch.
Her program then moves to original works by Albeniz and Piazzolla
where she shows very obvious passion which is what makes her
performance very professional. She finishes her CD with Zolotaryov's
Partita in five movements, performed with great psychological
deepness.
Tatjana's performance is a real musical treat
for lovers of fine accordion music!
