At present living in the Netherlands, Anatoly Senine is one of those famous Russian accordion players who established international popularity of the Russian accordion school system at the end of the 1960's. The name of this talented musician is well known in many countries around the world (USA, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Austria, Belgium etc) as his active concert life started in 1969 after his successful performance at the Coupe Mondiale in New York where he was the runner-up. Since then, Anatoly has performed more then 2000 concerts worldwide. In Russia he worked as a soloist-bayanist of the Moscow State Region Philharmonic Society while also teaching at the Moscow State Pedagogical University.

On this CD, Anatoly presents a full concert programme, beginning with Bach-Busoni, via Vivaldi and Liszt and rounding his performance with Kreisler - Panitsky. It is really a very masterful and impressive programme with evident inclination towards big forms.

When talking about great masters such as Anatoly Senine, what never stops to amaze me in their performance is not only a full and definite control but also an awareness of everything that is happening during the performance. Anatoly's touch and bellows control are carefully thought of as well as the style of the compositions. His performance is very expressive, yet at the same time his emotions are so brilliantly controlled that all tonality is also well balanced. All the elements of Anatoly's performance have been harmonically entwined, making an impressive, contentious performance.
