Aitor Furundarena was born in 1970 and has studied classical accordion with Carlos Iturralde, Max Bonnay and Morgens Ellegaard and composition with F. Escudero and C. Ballif.

On this CD Aitor introduced himself as a very talented accordionist and composer. As a composer, Aitor uses modern, contemporary musical language. Using tonal and timbre potential of the accordion to the maximum, he writes music which is deep, has psychological contents to it, activating the listeners mental activity. While listening to Aitor performing, many thoughts, moods and pictures cross your mind.

Aitor is no doubt a very fine classical accordionist. His technical standard is very high and tonally he performs with great clarity. What is really fascinating about his performance is his ability to perform such a big musical pictures with the feeling of one. The compositions do not fall apart form wise, during the performance. While listening to Aitor you feel that he no doubt has a deep understanding for the music. His performance is musical, contentious and convincing.
