This CD is indeed a product of recent times. Very little outstanding is getting produced in our days! Contamination, music polyhedric that in every aspect meets and confines with all different worlds and different cultures - but most - bringing together musicians deriving from different parts of the world. In this CD – as Jonathan Besser declares himself – a mixture between his jewish musical tradition (and therefore the Klezmer) and his new home New Zealand , all based on the “sound” of Tango - strongly Latin, inevitably and conflicting.

Only contrast brings out the best in all. What does all this combine? The solid and outstanding capacity of Besser as a composer, never leading his works into the direction of stereotypes and commercial music. A very pleasant disk to listen to and on the other side with very intense and deep emotions.

A last annotation: the CD track with the title “You Got Your Wish” and “A Bird Without Wings” has been written as a “musical reaction” in regard to the 11th of September (Jonathan Besser was born in New York) and are based upon the two lyrics of the mystical poet Rumi, born in Afghanistan.
