Betty Jo Simon and her group, which includes, trumpet, tuba, drums, flute, tenor sax and clarinet, play on this recording what is called "peoples accordion music". They offer a variety of styles - from oom-pa-pa to jazzy swing - quite a delightful compilation of popular and well known tunes suitable for parties and dances. Betty Jo shows good musicianship in her playing. She has chosen correct tempos for these tunes - so often people don't have the right tempo's. Technically, her runs are clean and sharp, no sloppiness.

Overall, it's neat playing.
