Three accordions and the double bass - and I just loved the presence of the double bass in this ensemble, it adds that extra 'touch' to the accordions with its delicate background support and warm tone color.

What comes as a real refreshment is that this is an acoustic recording, no electrical devices were used whatsoever. The studio and the recording equipment were specially designed for optimal acoustic sound via a "liner transient response" recording technique.

As its title implies, this recording contains some of the most popular musette tunes and valses as well as some tangos, sambas, etc. I especially liked the tangos and sambas performed on the straight tuning registers. The ensemble as a unit is very well balanced and their performance is technically sound, with a lot of heartfelt emotion.

It's easy listening, classy entertainment.
