  Present Occupation
Since 1997, the re-entry of Mr DENIS, Director of Schola Cantorum, school of higher music in Paris, he entrusted the responsibility to Jean Marc Fabiano to reopen a class of accordion that had previously been taught by Yvette Horner and Christian Di Maccio.
In 1995, the prize Marcel AZZOLA was created, in order to pay homage to this important person in the world of the music. Jean Marc Fabiano was appointed the artistic Director of this event.
In 1992, Mr Phillip ATTACHES, the Director of the National Academy for the Area of Marseilles, decided to create a class for accordion within his establishment. This class remains unique, because it is the only one to have two departments in the C.N.R.: music of entertainment and music in concert: The class maintains this status by taking care that pupils progress equally with their individual studies as well as their overall studies. Another aim is to ensure the accordion achieves the same recognition as other instruments

This was supported by the manufacturers of instruments Selmer and Cavagnolo, the ministry for the culture through official organizations like Arts with the Sun, the Regional Management of the Music and the General Council of the Rhone delta within the framework of the Mediterranean festival.
