Opening Concert

The Opening Concert was unique in that it featured a single composition of some 60 minutes in length. This was unique in a number of ways, with a mix of voice and instruments and video slides with composer David del Puerto also performing (guitar) with Angel Luis Castaño (accordion) and Laia Falcon (soprano). Angel Luis Castaño elected to use a Roland FRX-7 for the performance and used many effects from this instrument as an integral part of the work.

REJOICE! Carmen Replay

Carmen Replay is the result of an educational project produced by the Teatro Real and designed to recover the myth of the most famous woman of the opera "Spanish" Carmen. This show, which originally has combined music, images and dance at the same stage space, is also presented in concert version to the public trusting the stage presence of the original performers of Rejoice!, Three great musicians supported by his artistic career, David del Puerto (National Music Prize 2005), Angel Luis Castaño (CSMA Accordion Professor and Chairman Zaragoza-Union UNAC Accordion Spain) and Carmen Gurriarán (soprano born in Orense, currently in the orchestra Nacional de España).

David del Puerto Carmen has developed into a new universe Replay sound that combines the myth of Carmen winks and games with electronic music at a distance of approximately one hour for the main events and scenarios booklet Meilhac and Halevy to Bizet, with a composite score especially for the trio Rejoice! which is a component of active. Together with the accordionist of reference in Spain, Angel Luis Castaño, and the soprano Carmen Gurriarán, David del Puerto exploiting the extensive possibilities of instrumentation completely new (digital accordion, amplified guitar, vocals soprano and electronics) in which there is space for improvisation and electronics. Quite a challenge for one of musical today's most valued creators in our country.
