Albufeira Municipal Council room for the reception and draw for playing order was very nicely decorated.
The CMA delegates, jury and competitors were welcomed by accordion and city leaders.

for them.

First to speak was Desidério Silva, Mayor of Albufeira
City, welcoming everyone to the City and saying how proud they were
to help sponsor this important cultural event.

| Local Representative of Albufeira City Francisco Saboia spoke next welcoming everyone. | Next the Président of the Confédération Mondiale de l'Accordéon Frédéric Deschamps replied to the city officials thanking them for the warm welcome and also thanking delegates, jury and candidates, for coming to Albufeira to particpate. |

| Considerable effort had been made by the City of Albufeira to decorate the area of the concert hall. Here Frédéric Deschamps is standing alongside a large banner outside the city concert hall. |

After the Mayoral Reception, the draw for playing order took place.

The hall was beautifully decorated with the flags of many countries and accordion graphics.
The large accordion on the stage made an impressive background to the music.
