Famous French Midi Accordionist Jean Louis Noton Outdoor Concert sponsored by the Shanghai Spring International Accordion Festival, Shanghai Jinan Government and the Shanghai Music Associations.
Approximately 1,500 people attended Jean Louis's historical concert, which marked the first outdoor accordion concert ever held in China. Above left is a Shanghai City official making a presentation to Jean Louis at the start of the concert.
Jean Louis's concert attracted much media attention, with TV cameras, press photographers and audience members taking many pictures. Pictured to above right are Accordions Worldwide director Harley Jones from Fiji and Festival Organizer Li Cong capturing the event on camera.

After the concert, Jean Louis was surrounded by fans seeking to have their picture taken with him and sign autographs.
Today the reedless accordion Cavagnolo brand that Jean Louis Noton plays does not require a lot of electronic add-ons, even for a major concert.

A concert by accordionist Peter Soave was held at the Shanghai Arts Theatre before a capacity audience. Showing his excellent versitility, Peter Soave performed solo, in duo with his wife Madeleine, with a string quartet and with the Shanghai Normal University Orchestra.
