Today was competition day. With over 1,500 entries the organisers had 10 different competition venues working today starting from 8 am! |
These are pictures of different contestants. Most categories (all popular music) required the contestant play with a backing track and to also play an own choice piece or own choice program. |

| In the main hall, there were many large orchestras performing. Note that they are performing from memory, quite usual in China.

| Some had really colorful costumes of their native peoples, and the young children looked especially cute. Each large orchestra also had a team of parents to put the chairs on/off the stage. 有些参赛组的选手们会穿上漂亮的民族服装，还有十分可爱的小孩子们会站起来演奏或者坐在椅子上演奏。 |

After lunch, I found Prof. Li Cong autographing his music books (with music CD) for young people.

| The first video is an example of playing with the backing track. Performing with a backing track was like a test piece. The competition organisers provided the sound gear for 10 different venues! Some contestants performed standing with dance movement. | |
