Daily Report - 11th April 2015, Chengdu and Country Area

Today was an early start to get to the airport and fly 90 minutes Chengdu. After arriving, we were taken by car some considerable distance out in the countryside and at a local school, met with teacher Zhou Zhiming and other Chengdu accordion teachers.

Friends of many years, Chen Chun, Kim Mattila and Harley Jones make a picture together. Chen Chun, internationally known by the name of "Panda" is a tutor at Sichuan Conservatory of Music, has attended many Coupe Mondiales and is an Executive member of the China Accordion Association.	Xia Gang, tutor at Sichuan Conservatory of Music first met Harley over 20 years ago competing in New Zealand, since qualifying in Russia, produced CD's and teaching books in cooperation with Zhou Zhiming.
We drove to a nearby town of Qingshen	for an accordion concert of students of Zhou Zhiming and other local teachers.
There were accordion orchestras, groups, soloists of all different ages.	Kimmo Mattila making a thank you speech to the Qingshen City officials.

	The day was completed with a very enjoyable evening dinner with accordion teachers and city officials. Thank you to Zhou Zhiming, all the other local accordion teachers and Qingshen City officials.
