MIDI Accordions
The MIDI system has represented a considerable evolution in the world of musical instruments, allowing the interconnection among musical instruments in order to control sounds and effects remotely.
This has dramatically increased the range of possibilities of musical instruments and has contributed to stimulate the creativity of the musician thus improving the quality and effectiveness of his performances.
Even traditional musical instruments like the accordion can be equipped with a MIDI interface to "borrow" sounds and effects from external sound generators or keyboards.

Accordions With Built-In MIDI System
All accordions with a built-in Midi interface are originally designed to house all circuits and contactboards, therefore guaranteing a perfect integration between the mechanical and electronic parts with no detriment of the accordion's sound response and mechanical action.
Two lines of Midi-equipped accordions are available from EXCELSIOR:
the MIDIVOX "Series III" line, which includes a full range of accordions from the low-cost studio models to the high-quality professional ones
the MIDIVOX LT line, which includes two accordion models, that is one piano model and one chromatic model
The MIDIVOX "Series III" Midi interface has very advanced features and allows full control of the most important MIDI parameters, such as Program Change, Bank Select, Control Change (volume, pitch bend, modulation etc.). In addition, it features local functions, such as octave switching, keyboard transpose, volume scaling, treble cancel and many others.
Furthermore, up to 128 combinations of sounds and settings can be stored into local memories, which can be easily recalled during a performance. MIDIVOX III accordions are supplied with a "multifunction" programmable foot-controller (pedal) and 4 programmable foot switches.
The MIDIVOX LT system (LT stands for "light") is an easy-to-use Midi interface designed to provide a low-cost and compact solution for those accordionists who wish to enter the wonderful world of the electronic music.
The MIDIVOX LT system is not so powerful as the MIDIVOX III is, nevertheless it includes the basic functions an accordion player needs during his performances: sound selction, octave switching and section muting.
MINIMIDI Interface
The "MINIMIDI" interface is a very simple MIDI electronics for accordions: no controls are provided on the accordion's grille. The MINIMIDI is an ideal solution for those who don't want to have the design of their accordion's grille altered and prefer to select sounds and effects directly from the sound module's control panel. Moreover at a very affordable price.
